I never played REverse or UC, but I'm familiar enough with them that they're absolute shit. I might rank monsters later. I know Eliminators are going to be at the bottom for being absolute jank. Same with Leechmen, although I think Eliminators are worse and the worst main series enemy. I'd rather be cornered by three beta Hunters in RE3 OG than in a tight hallway with one Eliminator.
Damn, Outbreak on the same level as Village, knowing how much you hate Village? [I do too lmao]
I know a lot of people dislike Outbreak simply because it was fully intended to be played multiplayer, and nowadays you have to do a whole lot of emulation and other fuckery afoot to accomplish that [heard it actually got easier recently, though] and the single player AI companions leave a lot to be desired. I've also seen examples where people didn't like it because it didn't include any actual series characters, but I liked it for that reason, you just play as a series of nobodies who got caught up by sheer chance in the Raccoon City incident. Although I will say, considering the original idea of the RC incident was that there were very few survivors [and thus few people to spill deets on the whole ordeal], it does kinda fuck that up since canonically [IIRC] every character in both Outbreak games escapes - which means a fuck ton of people got out.
Anyway, I liked both Outbreaks, but they're hard as fuck to beat single player and unless you play on 'Easy' [and who the fuck does that?] it is unusually stingy with ammo/weapons, so I get why people find them frustrating. Not withstanding that each AI character has their own behavior based on who you pick, so if they're a loner [like David] or they simply "don't like" the character you picked, they'll just fuck off at the beginning of the scenario and turn up dead later [usually with a key item they took off across the map with], making it even more annoying.
But I've always had weird fucking taste when it comes to this series that people tend to find odd. I'd rate both Outbreaks and CVX as my favorites, right alongside RE1 remake, the original trilogy, etc. 4 and 5 in a tier right below those. I didn't really like Zero's character switching and having to dump items on the floor because it just gets fucking confusing from an inventory management perspective, trying to remember where the fuck you left something because you didn't have room to take it over another item. Dead Aim's gameplay was alright, probably more fun with a light gun, but storywise [literal troon antagonist] it was a fucking mess and the dialogue was very poorly translated, I mean for fuck's sake the subtitles basically never match what is being said.
