If Remake 3 gets made, I would like it to have at least one of these:

1. Have the combat be more like refined Revelations 2 and the game should have more zombies on screen gunning for tasty Jill Sandwich. Jill is already experienced killing zombies from 1, so, she should have some better abilities to kill zombies than what Remake 2 have. Its not neccessary to be full Resident Evil 6, but at least make it more intense than 2.

2. Have Nemesis literally destroy the things in the background that blocks him from getting to you. Remake2 MrX was a little dumdum that you can get a little bit scared when you first face him, until you realize that a table was his weakness. It would be a really nice surprise if Nemesis destroys tables and stuff so you can't exploit the AI.

3. Bring back Mercenaries. I love the Mercenaries. In fact, I spent more time playing Mercenaries than the main story itself. And if they do, not that shitty Mercenaries from 6, I want the really tense shit from Mercenaries No Mercy mode from 5.

I would actually prefer if a RE3 remake was first person like Resident Evil 7, but put more enemies on screen at once. Since the original RE3 was one of the more open games in the RE series in terms of design and is the only one of the main numbered games to take place in the zombie filled streets of Raccoon City, rather than just some location within it (i.e. the police station, the lab, the mansion), then they should really make this feel like a zombie apocalypse. Dial the zombies' toughness back down to normal level, rather than making them nigh unkillable like the RE2 remake did, but increase their numbers, make them reactive to sound, make it so that the key is not to get overwhelmed or surrounded. Make so that the zombies are everywhere and they always show up in force and numbers. The streets are never safe, so neither are you.

Making the game first person and giving Jill the ability to actually run, ala Outlast, versus the light jog you could do in RE2 remake would allow them to make Nemesis as fast and dangerous as he was supposed to be. Truthfully, Nemesis didn't really work in the original RE3, because his speed and ability to attack you from a distance clashed with that game's clunky tank controls. He just didn't fit with that game's slower, more methodical style. Design this game around that, and they can let loose and make him the super fast, destructive opponent he was always meant to be. It would also help differentiate him from Mr. X, who they basically turned into Nemesis light.

Also, yeah it would be nice to play Mercenaries, especially a first person version.

I feel like making first person wouldnt feel fitting now we had REmake 2 in the over the shoulder style (it would be cool if they had a mode for it after you completed it tho).
Also they should make Nemesis feel like Mr X on fucking steroids, which is kind of what he was in the original, make sure that the same tricks wont work. Also make him increasingly more aggressive as the game goes on and you can see Nemesis getting increasingly "frustrated" with Jill getting away that he starts to hold back no more punches (so the more you are in the same area, the more brutal he will get), so you are left between either looking for supplies or leaving to not risk facing an extra thicc pissed off Nemesis.
Also please...can we get a small scene of Nemesis and Birkin duking out? Nemesis wins but its obvious Birkin aint dead. It can be an easter egg, make use of the fact 2 and 3 happen almost at the same time.

Hopefully develop Carlos Oliveira better and his comrads too.
And yes, make this entry a biiiiiit more action like (not like RE 4 tho, just to remind us that Jill aint a newbie, she fought worse in the mansion until Nemesis pops in), also because people are used to previous remake so this would keep this fresh.

Also add some tragedy by having Jill try to save civilians and falling, showing the city truly has no salvation and that her old job as a STARS member is truly gone. Nemesis could be symbolic to the old horror of her STARS days chasing her, like a physical manifestation of PTSD.

Edit: I also imagined this little stab:
Carlos: do you like the Hive Girl movies?
Jill: First one was alright but each sequel just showed how she is unstoppable and no other characters mattered from the games.
Carlos: so you do know its based on video games!? You awww play video games?
Jill: lets just focus on getting out of here...

Yeah its a stab to the RE movies.

here it be.

I am fucking *loving* the redesign of nemesis, even if he doesn't look this way entirely in the game, he just looks unnerving. The original design, while great, lost its impact on me and I became desensitized to him beyond a jump scare occasionally.

Seeing his redesigned, melted face spring out from the shadows in the shiny new REngine is going to wreak havoc on my blood pressure.

Jill looks alright. I'm too used to seeing Julia Voth as the character. That'll always be the best.

Nemesis on the other hand looks SCARY.

I love that they made Nemesis' teeth bigger. His lack of lips was always unnerving in his original design, but making his teeth unnaturally large just makes him that much creepier. It pushes him further into inhuman territory while still having vaguely human features. It's great.

I also dig the stretched, torn cheeks.

Jill looks a bit weird but Im giving it a chance before judging (I did get used with Claire's newish design in the remake so...)
Carlos looks alright but man is his hair big and messy, need to see more of him. But I think it helps we've never see him beyond RE3 (I wonder where he went canonically after 3, you would think he would keep in contact with Jill, being a trusted ally of hers and all)
Outside of the nose, Nemesis looks different, scary and yet familiar. Im glad they went for a different design instead of just copying the OG one, it got to a point its not as scary as it used to be given the constant milking and expose of the character in spin offs and the movie. I dig it and want to see more.
Im legit excited and hopefully we see both RE3 and 2 "bridging" like, you see familiar locations from 2 or locations that are yet to be visited in 2 and stuff, RE 3 starts before and ends after 2 so they should use this for their advantage. I dont want them to meet Leon and Claire of course but I would like to see the stories sort of indirectly interact, if you get what I mean.
Finally, with RE 3, the OG trilogy will have finally be remade and they are ALL fucking awesome.

Edit: I noticed a few "caution" signs on Nemesis's "clothes". I wonder if we are seeing sort of a cover of sorts and there are more familiar clothes underneath (like the familiar black leather outfit). Hopefully Nemesis doesnt wear a fucking black airport transport bag through the game.

Edit 2: Oh and I also remember mentioning how I would so love to see Nemesis and William Birkin duking it out, maybe in an easter egg scene, I imagine Nemesis would win (cuz its fucking Nemesis) but its obvious Birkin survived to resume chasing to RE 2 cast. That would be the fucking tits.

I don't like the new designs. Yeah, Jill wearing a tube top and mini skirt and Carlos looking like Fabio was silly, but I'd take those designs over the new look.

The nemesis is a bit of a mess. I'm not too bothered about the caution tape, and the tubes being artificial is an interesting detail, but the nose, the big teeth, and stretched skin look doesn't do it for me. Maybe it will look better in motion.

I'm hoping they make the city feel like a city instead of a series of outside rooms like in RE3, and I hope they don't have the gimmick scripted sequences from RE2R.

I saw one comment hoping they explain the broken shower wall you see in RE2R.

I'm getting CWKy over Jill's outfit. It's way too bland and doesn't pop in the slightest.

Also the RE engine must be really efficient if they can pump this out so quickly.

Some solid redesigns, even if they aren't as close to the originals. The nose is a little bit of an odd choice on Nemesis but I can see what they are going for. Really looking forward to seeing fuller shots of the designs. Since 2 aped most games features I wonder what new feature(s) 3 will include, I can see some sort of deeper gun customization or building mechanic. Also Carlos' hair seems too huge, and I keep thinking he's the new Yakuza 7 guy.

Looks good to me. In REmake 2, a lot of the designs were better in motion anyways except Claire and these look better on paper than a lot of RE2's. I'm fond of the new look for Carlos too, even if he does look very different

Im kinda unsure on the designs too but they're still really nice. Jill and Carlos look fine but Nemisis definently feels like he was designed to be a lot more menacing in gameplay rather than in a static image. Which may be good, because my biggest worry with this game is them making Nemesis feel too similar to REmake 2 Mr. X

He does need a nose job though. I know most Tyrants have them but it just makes him look more like an orc with it on

I'm not really fond of the designs to be honest (except Nemesis, though he could do without the nose). At this point, the characters look almost nothing like how they have for the past 20 years. They might as well be new characters. Claire had the same issue, and Chris had the same problem in RE7 (hell Chris looked so different, some people actually thought he was a different character entirely till the Not A Hero DLC confirmed he was indeed Chris Redfield). I had similar issues with the redesign of Trish and Lady in DMC5. More "realistic" designs are okay, but I want some design continuity with the original designs; I at least want to be able to recognize who the character is when I look at them.

Even though I wasn't a big fan of Leon Kennedy's redesign in REmake2, I could at least tell it was supposed to be him. Claire not only looked ugly, but didn't resemble her original appearance at all; she might as well have been a new character, especially combined with her different, inferior voice actress, and newer, more profane and combative personality. And here's the thing: the girl Claire was based on is really beautiful and could have worked as a younger Claire Redfield (just check her Instagram), but it seems like they went the Mass Effect Andromeda route and made the character model uglier on purpose, as if they didn't want her to be too pretty. It does a disservice to the actress and made the design change more jarring because, if you look at Kennedy and his face model, they are basically identical, barring some minor facial changes, and if you are going to change the face that much, why even use a face model in the first place.

In regards to this image in particular, Carlos...just doesn't look like Carlos, and Jill doesn't really resemble her original appearance aside from the hair and barely visible tank top. The Old designs were fine: just give them some next-gen polish and they were good to go. There was no reason to completely redesign all of these characters from the ground up, especially when all of these characters have perfectly serviceable HD models already, and at this point it just feels like Capcom is doing it just to do it. Now I really do hope the game is first person just so I won't have to look at these designs all game, as they will conflict too much with my own visualization of what the character is supposed to look like.
