I watched the whole 100% ( or close to it) hardcore playthrough from Distortion. That dollhouse man
The tattoos ruin it.
Was about to say that too. The dress in the game is classy with a nice touch of sass. This one not so much and the tattoos while having a Dreamcatcher pattern looks so displaced she might as well have written :I'm a classless hoe on her skin.

Not only that, but she got the angle wrong. By putting the angle of the camera so high, she looks smaller then she likely really is.
She should have gone for a lower angle to make herself look like she towers above us.

That's a good take, I'm definitely getting the impression the Umbrella emblem is of some much older secret society, ala the knights templar, I also think the dark god could be just the first of a whole bunch of equivalents to Lovecraftian old ones, hell Moreau was already straight out of Lovecraft.

I think in RE's world's distant past there was a whole slew of civilizations that got wiped out by some biological threat.[/ISPOILER]

Laugh and grow fat!

I can't fault them too much for that as one of my complaints about RE7 was the main game was not complete, you had to play the DLC to get the full story, which isn't how a RE game should work.

But since RE8 tells a full story on it's own, there'd be no harm in a few side stories a small continuation down the line to tide us over while we wait for RE9.

There's pretty clearly a lot of potential left for Castle Dimitrescu and even House Beneviento since we didn't get to see every room, I also feel the backstory for House Beneviento was a little too vague, still plenty of room to explore that I feel.

In particular for Castle Dimitrescu I was disappointed we didn't get to see what was inside the main tower, this area.

In fact that seems like a pretty big omission to me, we didn't get to see the bell tower either.
That was the boss fight of against the psuedo-dragon if I recall. You get thrown up there and she basically destroys the top of that tower. its a lighthouse apparently.

I might be the only one who's finding the Alcina simping exhausting

Nope, definitely not the only one, it's been exhausting since it began and the funniest part is that she turned out to be a relatively minor character in the broad scheme of things. Of course that isn't going to stop every Only Fans hoe from sprinting to the nearest thrift store to find someone's grandmother's old dress. Any venue you might discuss the series at is chock full of Only Fans cosplay hoes and shit fan-art. Capcom got a fuckton of free advertising thanks to the thirst.

I remember when everyone thought dimitrescu was Natalia. Also, it really is funny how Miranda gets no advertising despite being the main villain. Hell, heisenberg is easily the most important out of the 4 lords yet there was barely anything shown for him in the trailers.

Crap entry in the series story wise and lore wise. Heisenberg felt like a real villain with a plan, Miranda was boring and bland as they come. She made Saddler look like he had his shit together and was competent. Capcom hasn't ben able to write a decent RE villain for a long time, Lucas came close but they got rid of him quick. It as refreshing to see a regular psychopath instead of one with delusions of grandeur like the other 99.9% of the villains.

You sure as hell aren’t, I’ve been sick of it since day 1.
The simping is something I find funny simply because everyone started to once they found out she was tall. Earliest screenshots of her, no one lost their shit until we got that video where she enters the room right before the player.

Miranda was pretty much a swap of Saddler only instead of some vague plan of domination, it's "revive dead child." The only thing with Miranda that was even memorable for me was her boss fight and it was a good simply by the grace of not being some event you win by shooting three times with a gun that screams "I WIN."

I just finished Resident Evil 0 for the first time ever, and even though I liked it, I can't help but notice that the story is all sorts of pointless. It's hard to get ecstatic about our heroes defeating the main villain when the laboratory was about to explode anyway, thanks to Birkin.

Did Billy and Rebecca even accomplish anything?

Billy at least achieved his freedom. But as you say, whilst I like 0 it can't overcome the problem all prequels face, in that Rebecca grows into someone strong enough to take on a Tyrant, but by the first game she's too scared to fight a Hunter.
