Arcade Archives Pac-Man (for example) is 37 MB, and AA actually trends on the lighter side as these things go. I challenge you to find a single modern rom + emulator "port" that doesn't have a flagrantly retarded install size and system requirements. Maybe, somehow, there's even a decent reason for it, not that I can imagine it.Lol, I wouldn't pay that. Especially considering that's not even a cartridge version. Also, that's published by Konami, a company that is just as greedy as they are retarded.
Twenty-five bucks, man. For not too much more, you can get some Powkiddy machine that could emulate that and the entire rest of the NES & Game Boy library.
And speaking of which, it says that's 149mb. What even takes up that much space? The roms are just kilobytes, and any NES emulator on PC is usually just a few MB tops. I'll even grant them an extra 20mb for uncompressed PNG UI elements, but seriously, what the hell takes up the rest of that space?
$12.50 a pop for as-is NES/Gameboy roms doesn't have much precedent though, even the laziest most cash-grabby bullshit seldom goes over $8. Most charitable explanation I can cook up is that the Felix IP holders wanted an arm and a leg and Konami's just passing along the cost to the cucksoomer. I don't think that plan works if nobody buys it though, but hey, it's Konami, I'm sure they know what they're doing.
