I taught myself how to read when I was 4. My parents didn't know I could until they found a pile of books in my closet that I would read at night.

Same here, because I was able to read earlier than most of my peers I had so many bizarre beliefs as a little kid caused by me not being able to understand all those subjects found in books.

I was reading by the time I was two, my parents thought I was a genius because of it. But though I could read, I couldn't hold a pencil to write until kindergarten (I was enrolled later into the school year because of it).
