I felt like this episode had the same problem as the first where it tried to do too much.
Rick trying to hunt down the guy that used his personal super awesome toilet is the perfect petty thing for him to do, and the whole dating app thing destroying the world also works as a neat idea for an episode. However, considering the app plotline got split off into Morty/Jerry and Summer/Beth adventures and Rick was off doing his own thing in his own story, it made the episode feel bloated and fragmented.
I feel like the app story with the Smiths and Rick's toilet detective story could have been two separate episodes. It actually would have been kind of neat to see almost an entire episode without Rick as the family deals with the mess without him around, and it would have been cool to see Rick by himself for a full episode.
Actually, as Rick's toilet story got under way, did anybody else think they were going to do a thing where Rick stayed silent the entire episode? Initially the scene was so quiet and without dialogue, so I thought maybe we'd see Rick silently track the dude down. It makes sense as without Morty by his side, he has no reason to jaw jack and show off, and it could have been a chance for the show to see how much it could get out of Rick without dialogue.
