I mostly launch them to see if a movie I liked this year wins any Oscar.

However, this Best Popular Movie award change, along with the Disney/Fox merger, the current business model Disney is using that's making other studios struggle, and major studios pumping out franchises and excluding ideas to make more original movies, which leads to the people wanting to make the original stuff to go to Netflix, makes it clear to me that the film industry is becoming a bigger embarrassment than I thought.
