What really irks me about Bob's boner for a Supergirl film that he only cares about the "girl" part because "muh feminism" and that garbage. If WB was smart about wanting a Supergirl in her film, make her a pivotal character in the Man of Steel sequel. Just take some story beats from the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank "Brainiac" storyline from Action Comics nearly a decade ago and make the titular villain the main antagonist. And yes, Superman has more rogues than Lex Luthor and General Zod. Who would've thought? Then DC/WB can gauge audience reaction and move ahead with a Supergirl solo film that can follow Kara in the aftermath as she struggles to adjust to life on Earth.

Bob should love that idea because that is what Marvel did with Civil War (though you could say to the detriment of the film itself.) Oh, and hey! I pitched a better idea than whatever he could shit out. I wonder how that "Care Bears meets Paradise Lost" pitch is going for him.

WB/DC animation has done a decent modern Supergirl movie, which I can go ahead and doubt Bob has watched. It's mostly a by-the-numbers fish out of water story with Kara Zor El, ending in a one on one fight with Darksyde that goes on for far too long. If the DCU attempted a 2 hour film at this era I doubt it would be much different. But hey Bob, throw another stinker on your list of merit badges, don't let me stop ya.

Kara Zor-El kinda sorta already exists in the DCEU through tie-in material for Man of Steel. She's not Clark's cousin and comes from millions of years in the past where she was part of some exploration team. The ship shows up in MoS with an empty pod that would've been her's. We have no idea what happened to her and I imagine they'll pretend it's not a thing unless they really want Kara to be this ancient superwoman that's been on Earth ages before Superman.

If you read the early pages of the thread (which was created at roughly the same time Bob had his meltdown over GamerGate) there were Kiwis saying they enjoyed Bob’s content who more or less fell into this category. That’s impossible to contemplate now but at the time Bob hadn’t quite evolved into the basement dictator we all know and despise.

His Mamma Mia review, his Transformers review, he even did an early Game Overthinker on what's wrong with modern feminism. They hold up fairly well despite low sound and video quality. I guess GamerGate/Trump/Brexit turned a lot of YouTubers into lolcows.

It's the "No True Scotsman" fallacy, or the SJW equivalent, the "Just because you have black friends doesn't mean you aren't a white supremacist" They probably don't have black friends either, so they have to preemptively make that claim against their enemies less they get called on it first.
