When bob discusses "flyover country" I cringe because that's where 90% of american food comes from. We don't import grain in the US, we export it because we grow SO MUCH. The fact that bob believes that we can just abandon the breadbasket of the US is hilarious because in bob's "Superior future" every farmer would be dead. The midwest would be at best a nuclear hellscape and at the very least a mass grave if bob got his way. Does he just think we'll just import food? From where?
So what language to Bob's imaginary video game friends like Mario, Link, etc speak to him in? Lmao...View attachment 1624704

Robert literally believes that food will be grown on skyscrapers using advanced hydroponics (and on the moon - one of the first things you learn by researching Bob is his love for Moon Wheat Farms.) He literally thinks that you can "Manhattanize" all of New York and pave it over, then grow crops on the tops of buildings. The flyover states will then just become wastelands populated only by the most inbred of redneck warlords, whose lack of access to MCU movies and IPA microbrews will render them barely capable of communication. THIS IS WHAT BOB ACTUALLY BELIEVES.
So sci-fi technology with 1990s corporatism, just like Early Modern tech combined with Feudalism? The superior future is Dune?I tend to visualize Bobs superior future as simular to 2nd renaissance, where our technology outstrips our wisdom, it's pretty unlikely that a society of obligarchs and consoomers would end well.
Mind you if the AI locks us all in the 90's ffalse reality Bob will probably enjoy it as long as he gets his capeshit, mario and fatty foods

"we?" looking at her profile she's either a parody/troll account or a nobody
Has Bob ever posted this? https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...e-future-city-designed-for-people-and-nature/ . It reads like a bunch of people slightly smarter than Bob but with similar opinions getting together to outline the "superior future". No moon wheat or 100% reliance on hydroponics, but the extreme urbanization & abandonment of half the country's landmass is still present.Robert literally believes that food will be grown on skyscrapers using advanced hydroponics (and on the moon - one of the first things you learn by researching Bob is his love for Moon Wheat Farms.) "Rural" areas are only about 1% of the population, this shows just how geographically illiterate a lot of people are.Do we know where he got this idea from? Ellie Troon believes something fairly similar (not to the extreme of "we could grow all the food we need in cities" but he does believe that most people in rural areas should be resettled to cities and nobody should live his/her entire life in the country) and it seems too insane and specific for them to have both come up with it independently.
This is so dumb. Let me boil it down for the idiots:Has Bob ever posted this? https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...e-future-city-designed-for-people-and-nature/ . Even the people who made this must have realised how dumb it was, and had farms take up 40% of the land to supplement whatever meagre food would be gained through their "urban farming" bullshit. Apparently it's an architecture firm that builds glass palaces, so that's why it's light on the logistical thinking and common sense (https://www.som.com/).This is so dumb. Let me boil it down for the idiots:
If something is not there naturally, then it will require ENERGY to get it there. Now if it's a small distance away, no big deal, you just get some man power (or horsepower) to dig some ditches and boom! irrigation. But the further the distance you have to go, the more ENERGY you're going to require. So if you want to grow things in a city, you're going to have to get water to those things. To get water there, you're going to need pumps.
Sure, I can already hear the objection of "we do running water in the city already!" - yeah, and if you dump a bunch of plants into the system, you're going to double or triple or more your requirement. Which means larger reservoirs and pumps to keep up with the new demand. (not to mention the new energy demand of lights)
You think you're going to be able to run all of that on some wind and solar energy? If you're not prepared to drop a dozen nuke plants into the metro area, your food in cities idea is nothing but a pipe dream.
Worship of urbanism has gradually become a core element of Leftist thought. Usually it's just below the surface, but individuals like The Ellie Troon and Cinema Robert do us the favor of saying the quiet part out loud.Do we know where he got this idea from? Ellie Troon believes something fairly similar (not to the extreme of "we could grow all the food we need in cities" but he does believe that most people in rural areas should be resettled to cities and nobody should live his/her entire life in the country) and it seems too insane and specific for them to have both come up with it independently.
He believes the future will be home to mega-cities like all of New York state being covered by Manhattan. Other states would be claimed by nature or be home to smaller but still massive satellite cities. This despite the issues of building on that scale, the massive environmental loss, and how there actually isn't enough humans to fill even one of those.I don't get it. Manhattanize? What the fuck does that even mean.
I will simply state that there is a reason (beyond regional pride as a proud Yankee) that HP Lovecraft's description of what became known as Arkham country was actually pretty realistic. For all their elitism, the boonies of New England are just as sisterfucking and hickish as the Appalachians, they just don't have a banjo and prefer to have red flannel hash rather than corn bread and slaw.Alas, I have to wonder if Sisterbang, White-sylvania is next door to Lynn and Revere because I suspect the Chipman clan are a few chromosomes short of true sapience. Bob and Chris already look more like lesser primates that even a fucking chimpanzee would turn its nose up at.
Bob's "apartment" IS a basement. Of a split-level home where complete asshole strangers live above him. Which house may, or may not, be the property of a Chipman aunt that does not live there. When bob discusses "flyover country" I cringe because that's where 90% of american food comes from. I'm so glad I live in a blood red state. Work is back to normal and people go to parks. The fact that bob still has to hide in his basement (I thought he had an apartment now, someone explain this?) is amusing. He's utterly afraid of the coof and his fat body will not move because he's probably already thrown his vote away or mailed it by now. I honestly don't think that he's going to vote at all. The loudest bastards never do vote.
This is the most nuclear of hot takes I've ever seen. Holy shit. I might die from my brain trying to process it and laughing so hard.View attachment 1624704

I mean if Bluebeard was a metaphor for rape wouldn't the guy just rape his wife? It's a fairly graphic story so I'm not sure why anyone would leave out the rapey parts but keep the the dead wives hanging on hooks. Its about deadly curiosity if anything.
It's amazing how Robert manages to display the worst traits of Boomers and Millennials at the same time. His obsession capeshit is reminiscent to the average MCU Millennial consoomer and the general manner and the fact that he's nearly 40 gives me "how do you do fellow kids?!" vibes.Bob celebrates The Rock endorsing Biden/Harris with a pop culture reference of course.
