To be fair Bob has been pretty consistent in his "you should skip your own grandmother's funeral" stance. It's one of the rare instances where he actually practices what he preaches. He didn't even need a pandemic because he's just that considerate.

I just realised why he sucks up to the trans community. He probably assumes they're a stepping stone to getting his robot body, or maybe magically making him thinner and muscular. Once science figures out how to genetically engineer a male body into a female one, Bob can have them engineer him into a chad that could get women and not repulse them with his looks, only his terrible personality.
I mean Bob has clear delusions of grandeur especially given his motivations to become a youtuber or critic is so he can get con girls to throw themselves towards him.
If his previous comments are to be believed, his robot body will be infinitely customizable so he can just upload from the lump of flesh into Fabio. Therefor, the only thing that matters is cultivating his superior intellect (fed, in no small parts, by "average size" servings of McDonalds) because his mere flesh will be sloughed away when he achieves his true, deserved form.
I believe that like all of us, Bob ultimately fears his mortality. However while others try to cope with that through philosophy or religion, Bob I believe does so with his belief in a magical scientism that his consciousness will be saved by technology - completely ignoring how far off that kind of technology actually is.
I would also say that aside of the mortality thing, i would believe that Bob is one of the radical types that believes that the flesh is weak. After all, his body couldn't cope with his fucked habits and he's like he is now. He not only wants to live forever, he also wants to do it while not taking any sort of responsability for his habits and health. After all, he is probably the kind of idiot that thinks that a new bionic body will be build to last and will have no kind of problem.
It would be karmic punishment for Bob to get his immortal robot body, only to find himself eternally at the mercy of his mayo ghoul mechanics.
Nah, i think he would direct his rage against the people that think that bionics and such radical alteration of the human body is inmoral because it vulnerates what makes us human and the sanctity of humanity, since that would blur even further the distinction between man and machine.
Even if it became available, it would definitely be out of his price range.
