There was also the fact that they weren't that cohesive or organized (more irony), lacked in the way of sufficient influence/ resources, and that many were turned off by their messages and behavior (thanks TJ). Last of all, they were begrudgingly tolerated by democrats and left leaning parties because; at the time, they were cozying up to the Muslim vote. Eventually, they were seen as an inconvenience, and left to fall into obscurity.

Castro: Kennedy was using back channels including a broad he once nailed to try and make a deal with Castro. Kennedy's death was actually a major blow to Castro because LBJ thought that Commie Oswald might had been a Castro agent.

The Military and Big Business: Kennedy was involved in Vietnam so the angle that they wanted Nam and thought Kennedy would stop them makes no sense.

The Soviets: Khurshchev was the most pro western peace leader the Soviet Union ever had until Gorbachev. The Cuban Missile Crisis was in response to us putting nukes in Turkey. & Brezhnev supported Detente which killing the President wouldn't help. Now, this is just my interpretation of the data, but it seems to me that, since Bush won his second term, there have been upticks in mass shootings whenever Democrats are up for reelection and are in danger. When the Black Savior was up for reelection in 2012, there was a massive uptick. A similar uptick occurred in 2016, when the Dowager Empress was up for election. During the God-Emperor's reign, there was a colossal increase in mass shootings, likely due to the media hyping up how evil he was. 2020 had a lower amount of shootings, likely due to Covid.

This does not seem like a genie that can be forced back into its bottle, but I doubt Bob and company would want it to be.
