That's really weird, that he seems to only sperg about MUH SOOPEERYAH FYOOTCHAH when he knows he has an audience - specifically, this audience. I'm not sure what spurred Bob's switch from "Mayonnaise/Wasteland Ghouls" to "Wight Trash", but eh, they're all FICTIONAL undeads, maybe he's trying to mix it up to sound esoteric and clever.

I guess Bob was less tweety during the plowing under of the farms because it's easier for him to cry victim when Farms are operational, and there's no point when it's not? Or maybe he went out and got smashed in (premature) celebration.

My theory: He's scared.

As we get older, we have to face our mortality. Bob knows that as an overweight man with diabetes, he's probably not going to make it all the way to 78, the standard life expectancy for a man in Boston. But he has technology. He doesn't understand it, but his early education of TV shows and probably Epcott told him that technology is basically magic and in his adult life, he would get to experience space and robots. Now we as rational human beings understand that science is a process, not just wishful thinking, but Bob had his hopes set on flying around in a space ship with a robot body. Because that way, he can never die.

The only other way to become immortal is to leave behind a legacy that has people wish you were still around. Bob's attempt at this was film criticism and film making. And those have floundered. But this makes even less sense, because Bob sees himself as an insufferable genius, much like House or Will Hunting. Those two have their genius celebrated, and have friends and respect, so why does it not happen to Bob? His default answer is the backwards obsolete, but even people who he respected and told people to follow treat him with disdain. He has some idiot sycophants in the replies, but those are not peers, those are the proletariat beneath him. And the Lindsay tweet took a huge blow to his ego and sense of self.

So, he's saying anything he can because all he has left is winning small victories against random twitter arguments. The more he tweets, the more right he is, the better he feels. Yes he gets pushback and ratioed, but that doesn't matter to him because to disagree with Bob is to disagree with science, and only idiots do that.
