How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Also "protest" isn't speech when the protest involves hurling glass bottles at people with different opinions than you.

People forget the First Amendment also includes the right to peaceful assembly, meaning the government can't shut down your rallies or protests (or stand idly by while a gang of masked thugs shut it down instead).
Has he ever used the argument that censorship isn't censorship if it's not done by a government? I never understood how that works especially when lobbying exist and some big corporations do have political influence. The line seems arbitrary to me.

While calling him a fascist is hyperbole, Bob actually is blatantly anti-democracy. Not even in an exaggerated shitposting way where we call him the Footless Fuhrer or the Mario Mussolini. His politics of denying the franchise to undesirables are completely contrary to basic Constitutional thought. He very deliberately criticizes and condemns the basic idea behind Western government and openly advocates for technocratic dictatorships. He despises a system which gives a voice to people he knows are wrong. Bob simply cannot handle the government unless it serves as a vehicle to uplift the worthy and stamp out the rest.

And yet those same constitutional rights are what keep people from kicking down his door and sending him to the gulag.

How would they get his lard ass out of the basement though? And I'd only send people to the gulag if I'd expect manual labor out of them...

On second thought, that's the most fitting punishment for him.

Reeeee they don't make the movie like I want to!!!!!!

I was fucking SHOCKED when I saw a commercial where Tom Hanks and Patton "Deadwife" Oswalt were in the same movie side by side. I wish I could murder my wife/allow her to OD and then ride sympathy waves to Emmys and Grammys and ruining MST3K

Bob calls The Circle "technophobic", then spergs about life in Silicon Valley. Truly, he supports the superior future, flaws and all.

Seriously, "Libertarian sociopathy"?

:autism:

In seriousness, I noticed that he'll retweet someone else's support for a rant, then follow it up by tweeting said rant itself. Like, it's one or the other, dude.

I just realized something since Guardians of the Galaxy 2's coming out next weekend. Even in a year where assloads of extremely respected directors are putting out new movies, I have a hunch that any of the three Marvel movies coming out this year are either going to top his list, or be undeservedly placed high on it, over much more memorable, thought-provoking movies. :c

On the other hand, it'd be absolutely hilarious to see Bob flail his way through a Michael Haneke movie, or really any film that's more at home on a YMS video.

Bob has a hard-on for pretty much everything that Marvel studios puts out.Now i like most MCU movies as well although liking something is not the same as praising it.And i'm starting to suspect that some online reviewers are intentionally putting such movies on their top 10 year end list just so they get clicks from fans.I actually view the MCU as the fast food of the superhero movie genre. Its ok if you eat it once in a while and you won't go hungry but going overboard on how great it is well there's always the risk of heart disease, diabetes etc.

If someone explains it to you, would you understand?

Because those big corporations can't legally arrest and imprison people to silence them. There is nothing they can do to stop you from criticising them, unless your criticism is defamatory.

Him knowing how these things actually work implies that he paid attention in class or some shit and was not in fact thinking about Mario or whatever.

Nope, he's just mindlessly repeating what he learned from a xkcd comic (or, given that he's too dumb to read himself, he's repeating what some fellow retard learned from the comic):

So basically the only issue that Bob has with the movie is that if focuses on things he doesn't care about?I wonder what his reaction would be to someone saying 'I hate superhero movies they focus on folks in silly costumes battling it out against other folks in silly costumes with a CGI background.'He doesn't really seem to critique the execution of this but more the fact that the issues brought up are not of interest to him. That's the sign of a bad critic when he pretty much says i don't like it because i don't care about it.

So according to Bob, some nerds making dongle jokes, people believing they have a right to do as they please and bosses are far scarier than having every moment of your life broadcast online.

This says some interesting things about him to say the least.

Maybe he would have preferred if some kind of technophobe (fundamentalist Christian, naturally) rushed on stage during one of the talks so Tom Hanks can smugly make him look like a prick. Then a muscular stereotype of a dudebro is shut down entirely by a sassy WOC. Maybe throw in a reference to a Marvel property too, for extra points.
