How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

So Rocket League, Ubisoft's Mario game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 aren't 3rd party support?
If it's Mario he thinks it's first party. Probably another part of why he's so assblasted about it, he can't just pin the blame on Ubisoft for it.

I don't even know what the fuck he's on about with this. I mean, usually I can figure out Bob's twisted and childish thought processes, but not this time.

Pointing out Hitler killed fewer people than Stalin or Mao isn't about exonerating or even mitigating Hitler or Nazism; it's about recognizing the fact that Communist regimes have largely gotten a pass in the history books and a lot of people aren't very happy about that. It's not just about lefty academics, historians, and journalists turning a blind eye to regimes they kinda-sorta (or even openly!) admired ... Imperial Japan gets way less grief than it ought to. I suppose that's because we mustn't judge minorities, even when they went so crazy with what they were doing to the Chinese that a Nazi ambassador started spiriting people out because he couldn't stomach what was going on around him.

Anyway, I digress. Bob is either missing the point or deliberately twisting shit up so, surprise surprise, he's always right and the people he hates are always wrong. Yawn.

It's gonna be interesting hearing Bob's take on the Alexandria Shooting, given that 1.) The shooter's white and 2.) He targeted GOP members. He's in something of a Catch-22, where if he condemns the victims, he looks like a sociopath. But if he condemns the shooter, he'll be seen as sticking up for those dang, dirty Republicans he's been A-logging since November.

Don't worry. The shooter was a Berniebro. Plus, Virginia = South = gun control narrative. Whew! Wouldn't want to examine any of our ugly prejudices.

I actually took the liberty of looking up this person. His name was John Rabe (pronounced Rah-bay). Here's an NYT article from 21 years ago from when his diary was unearthed. The entries have since been published into a book called The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II...Among other entires, there's one about how the guy caught a Japanese officer raping a Chinese girl and chased him off. I'm going to have to give this book a read when I get the chance. Here's the link to the article below:

It's almost as if morality isn't black and white.

I couldn't recall the German guy's name off the top of my head, but yeah, that's him. The Rape of Nanking is maybe the most important book ever written for the purpose of peeling back the curtain of denial over what the Japanese got up to in WWII. They were, in some ways, more racist than the Nazis, seeing Chinese and Koreans in particular as completely subhuman.

Sadly, Iris Chang, who wrote Rape of Nanking, committed suicide some years ago. She suffered from bipolar disorder, but I always wondered if the ongoing dishonesty about Japan's behavior in the war contributed to her depression.

I'm expecting him and his partners in grime Tony Goldmark and Dobbo to say absolutely nothing on the issue but Bob being...Bob, I can't help but wonder if he'll put his foot in his mouth.

Reactions: Uncanny Valley
I get the feeling Bob's 'pacifism' and distaste for guns [in the FPS thing] in Mario means he doesn't consider Yoshi's Safari a real Mario game.

As in, it's as 'canonical' [true] and honest as Hotel Mario, the CD-i Zeldas, or Yoshi's Cookie. And worse, he probably never really heard of it himself, because I doubt it was for sale at his hometown and he doesn't seem the type to emulate shit.

This is my main problem with SJWs and other extremists. Everything is Black and White. Everyone is either good or evil. Its an extremely child-like mentality and you see this all the time, especially with SJW people.
