How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

His rationale for doing it was "A mainstream audience doesn't know what Akira is." Beyond the fact that Akira's a pretty common reference point in terms of classic anime, he basically wants to make a, let's just say $150 million dollar cyberpunk movie called "Tom".

Granted, it's not as terrible and reinforcing of his disregard towards flyover country and story structure as his Terminator and Escape From New York ideas are, but it's still pretty bad.

Was he one of the people who complained about whitewashing in Ghost in the Shell?

I'd be curious to see what'd happen when someone used his own medicine by calling him regressive and worthless trash that needs to be disposed of for the superior future to happen, but I'd know he'd simply bitch out and block you after a limpdicked retort.

Though it would be funny given he has no worth and is only looking back to what was anyway.

I wanna see a black woman with a big-ass afro call him a honkey to his face.

I have no doubt he feels the same as all the other vile hate filled people cheering about what happened, but he's biting his fat tongue about it. For now, at least. I suspect he'll make some thinly veiled (in his mind) comments about it in the near future though.

Edit:
Carl might not use it, but I know we'll use it. For laughs.

"[Popularity of comic-book movies] is much more a reaction to the loss of faith to real institution/authority as agents of protection/salvation."

Well, comic book heroes are mostly male, and any woman is skimpily dressed (or in curve-hugging jumpsuits) and "objectified". So does that mean people actually want these Inferior Past relics as protection/salvation?

Yeah Bob, who cares if all these studios chasing the Superhero dollar could potentially cause a market crash for all the money poured into them? Who cares if Disney is getting scary amount of control over major blockbusters? Just as long as you get your bi-yearly MCU movies and your endless yearly Star Wars movies, who cares?

Also, superhero comics rely on characters that have been established for decades and become cultural institutions themselves. One could argue the glut of adaptions/remakes/reboots/sequels in Hollywood are all leaning very heavily on iconography that millennials have probably seen throughout their whole lives, and there's not as much room for original works.

So he finally acknowledges the controversy around Mario wearing a sombrero...and he thinks it's just a faux outcry caused by people trying to parody SJWs.

Of course, if it was any other video game franchise, he'd join in and decry the series. But if it's Mario, maybe it was just people trying to parody SJW outcries and not SJWs actually causing a fuss over his favorite franchise.

"Potentially"... More like inevitable at this point.

Looks like Bob's got another reason to be excited for Super Mario Odyssey. Notice how he hid his excitement behind an LGBT-friendly retweet so he can pretend he won't fap to it later.

That just looks like fan art drawn by some neckbeard, and probably isn't even in the game at all.

I did a Google on it and the only thing that's been revealed by Nintendo is that apparently Super Mario Odyssey has a minor character named Pauline who's the mayor of a city in the game (based off of the Pauline from the original Donkey Kong).

Jesus. Add an inflation fetish, and there's officially nothing distinguishing Bob from Dobson.
