Let me give you a local perspective. The Manhattan DA, Cyrus Vance (and the Vances are a political legacy family nearly on the level of the Kennedys) is now in hot water that I believe is going to explode in a big, big way. They had Weinstein on tape admitting he groped a girl. Charges were dropped and a little while later Weinstein's lawyer gave $10,000 to Vance's campaign. Now Vance is throwing the NYPD to the wolves by claiming they blew the case, an the NYPD is having none of it. On the NYPD's side is the fact that the reason Vance's office claim they couldn't prosecute was that they couldn't establish intent. A law student in the middle of his intro Criminal Law class knows that's a crock of the steamiest of steaming horseshit. So on top of the possible complicity of two different Dem Presidents, we also have the possible bribery of the Dem District Attorney of one of the country's biggest media centers. Oh, you know, those so-enlightened cities whose balls Bob loves to lap.

This scandal could be Armageddon for Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the media in general. At minimum it's going to reshape Hollywood as we know it, tarnish the Clinton legacy further, tarnish the Obama legacy (and despite right wing cranks like me hating Obama, I can admit that up til now it wasn't actually tarnished), and quite likely destroy the Manhattan DA's office.

Not gonna lie, it was the most Bobbish I ever felt about Trump voters, and strictly speaking I am one.

But the bottom line is Trump voters are a significant and appallingly unexamined phenomenon that halfwits like Bob dismiss as just being goofytooth rednecks and ice cold businessmen, and that is a recipe like no other for for a Trump 2020 victory.
