His refusal to learn; his concentrated ignorance, renders him as unfit to offer an informed political opinion as a jizz mopper in a seedy porno shop is to talk about string theory or the Treaty of Westphalia.
Bingo. That and his way of mocking anybody who really does know more than him. At times I thought the stupidity of the characters in
Idiocracy was a little over the top ("you talk like a faggot") but then Bob showed me that if anything, the movie was overestimating the idiots' intelligence.
Yes, but he's also one of the first ones to get a gas-tipped bullet behind one ear or a length of piano wire shoved into the back of his neck for sheer incompetence or eating too many jelly doughnuts at the beer hall.
Actually he's so loyal I could almost see him surviving for a long period time if for no other reason that the leader can have Bob walk beside him to block bullets, rockets, tank rounds or intercontinental ballistic missiles.
I'm guessing he's trying to latch onto Redlettermedia's claim to fame. Trouble is the suck of the prequals is well into the cultural zeigeist at this stage wereas no one will give a shit about batman vs superman in 10 years outside of amusing anecdote about DC's increasingly pathetics attempts to start a franchise.
As SFDebris has pointed out in his series on the making of Star Wars (i've seen the prequel vids but they're not public yet), the Phantom Menace was weird because
everything said it was hated by people, yet it was the 2nd highest grossing film of all time. Nobody liked it - but tickets were selling in record numbers. Part of that - Chuck notes - is because NOTHING has ever been hyped like episode 1 was (and there's probably not going to be anything that ever will). Heck the commercial
for another movie (Austin Powers) advertised that movie when it recommended people go see Star Wars - and then see Austin Powers if you have time.
Something like that - yeah, it's earned an hour+ vid from people that can competently analyze film. Batman v Superman was
supposed to have the kind of anticipation TPM had but failed because Man of Steel was so weak. All you need to know about it is either the RLM review above, or GBF's <20min review.
