I haven't seen Coco, but I have a hunch that it isn't a metaphor about border policy.

I imagine he only hates Venom or even knows what he is because he was in Sam Raimi's Spiderman 3, which was probably some sort of betrayal to him since it wasn't as good as two. While he's not my favorite Spidey villain (I think that honor goes to Shocker for being one of the few who treats being a villain as a livin' rather than "REEEE Spiderman REEE!"), he's more interesting than normal simply based on the whole "Both halves of the villain feel like Spidey either ruined their life or rejected them", alongside the dissonant feelings that comes with being a gestalt entity like Venom is.

It's been said before; Bob fails as a critic in pretty much any field he tries to claim he's an expert in.
There are plenty of villains that do their evil shit for a living than just Shocker. Sandman is only a villain because he has worse money issues than Chris. Vulture in the comics always just wanted the big score before he went into retirement, but Spidey just keeps getting in the way (even in the MCU, he’s only evil because it feeds his family, and could be described as a literal vulture). Kraven does it for the thrill of the hunt, and Mysterio’s evil for the recognition. Scorpion hates Jameson, but Spider-Man just keeps getting in the way of Scorpion’s revenge.
But MovieBlob probably doesn’t even know half of the villains on this list, much less their motivations. Making him fail as both a critic, and a Spider-Man fan.

Wasn't the movie about celebrating the idea of the tradition? And aren't you the same jackass that called the movie progressive. Even though said figure you sperged had only 2 minutes of screentime?

I am not a big fan of Rousey, but I love how they're all getting anal about her not wanting to fight a transwoman. They do understand why there is a seperate division for men and women right? If you are genetically a man, then a lot of women in mma might see that as too much of an advantage. Sorry that biology isn't gender positive.

And Bob is talking out his ass again. Coco was about a kid that traveled to the underworld and righted some wrongs that befell a family and tore them apart. Its not a metaphor for border policy. Also, most of his quest involves getting a blessing to go back home. Fucking moron. At no point did it even approach policy on illegal immigrants.

I especially like that he's putting the movie on a pedestal because he thinks it caters to his political opinions yet manages to completely overlook how it's absolutely soaked in all that "superstition" he regularly pisses on. I mean, come on, it's about Dia de los Muertos and involves a trip into the literal Underworld. Isn't this the kind of thing he prefers to sneer at?

It also looks like Grim Fandango: The Movie but that's neither here nor there.

I could make the argument that Inception is a metaphor about border policy too. After all, it's about a guy who crosses borders for his job in order to be reunited with his family. See? Tortured comparisons go both ways.

Aww, I like Grim Fandango.

I don't really count Kraven as normal given that failing to slaughter Pete is 99% of why he mono focuses on him (REEEE! I MUST FINISH MY TROPHY ROOM WITH YOUR HEAD SPIDEY REEE!), and I may be fucked by my Silver Age stuff to some degree since I could've swore that Scorpion was still quite firmly in the REEEE! SPIDEY REEE! camp precisely because JJJ is a villain in his own right and mindfucked him into murderfocusing on Pete as a part of being specifically made to kill him.

Vulture, Sandman, and Mysterio to a lesser degree I'll agree with, given that all of them are just a livin' guys, barring I believe that short insane stint with the Spider Totem stuff. I'll also chuck in Abner Jenkins as the Beetle and the Molten Man as well, given they basically were crooks for similar reasons as Vulture and Sandman. Hell, the last two I listed were still on the straight and narrow when they pulled a faceturn.

I really would love to see a Movie Blob do a lightning round Villain name-off for any superhero, especially Spiderman. It'd be neat since I imagine he'd only know what was in Raimi, Amazing movies, and the 60s and 80s-90s cartoons.

The tranny she refused to fight bashed a lady to bits and put her in the hospital, but it's cool because it was a very progressive beating.

What I don't understand is Rousey saying she wouldn't fight a tranny while simultaneously claiming she could beat Floyd Mayweather, then getting her clock cleaned twice by other ladies

I love grim fandango. However I wouldn't say they plagiarized it. But that's off topic. The fact of the matter is his delusions knows no bounds. Even with things they have nothing to do with them.

I guess he hasn't seen Spectacular since he "don't have time for television." But at this point him being a Spidey fan in name only isn't a surprise in the slightest. But I'm right there with you. I would love to see him in a comic trivia, and test his knowledge without wikipedia.
