Because for me personally...I am fascinated by Bob. Well when he's not pissing me off of course.
You see Bob's ideal world is border less and ruled by "Benevolent" Dictators and/or Mega Corps. But Bob isn't a Dictator or CEO in this scenario...He's one of the cog in the machine peons.
Bob doesn't want to lord over others, well at least not his fellow Superior Elite anyway, he wants to be lorded over. Thats his life's ambition. To be a vapid worthless consumerist drone who only ceases scarfing down Big Macs and watching Marvel movies to go on Twitter and praise his corporate overlords.
Despite claiming to be a Free Thinking Libertine, Bob is in fact the ultimate follower. Utterly devoted to a Black and White worldview. Never once questioning his betters. As long as his betters have a D or LLC next to their names anyway.
Plenty of people want to be in a Dictatorship...But those people want to be the rulers of such a society not the pathetic bootlicker who perfectly toes the party line.
I've thought about this way more than is healthy or Bob deserves to be though about but I'm no closer to comprehending Bob or his ideals than I was on day one.

The fact that he is incredibly pants on head retarded due to the fact that he possesses negative self awareness, a child-like world view, zero incentive to improve, negative talent, a derisive personality, and zero redeeming factors. He even believes that he is always right, even if you slapped him in the face with the facts. He cannot debate, and this has been shown numerous times by him trying to weasel himself out. All in all, he is a fat leech who would be slaughtered like a pig in his superior future. If this was 90 to 100 years ago, he would have been a good exhibit at the local freak show.

At first it was his obsession with Mario and his autistic hatred for First-person Shooters, while at the same time having absolutely no idea about the genere at all (as a fan of FPSes i found that to be kinda fascinating).

Then after Trump was elected, Bob finally showed his true insanity to the world, and that's when i started to follow his antics more regularly, it's funny to see a man who looks like a sex predator and is dumb as fuck, pretending to be the paragon for humanity, when in reality his surface-level knowledge of pop culture is completely worthless in real life, if his superior future became a reality he would be one of the first (if not THE first one) to be sent to a concentration camp for "unevolved humans".

I'm in a similar boat. I had a friend/colleague (we've grown apart a bit by now) that retweeted Bob's drivel religiously. I watched a few, but overlooked it for the time being. It wasn't until about a year ago that I found Bob had metastasized into the shoggoth of MSNBC talking points and Nintendo fanboyism that he is today. But the truth is- this shit was always there. It has just festered and attenuated to the point that it's all he is now.

He has entered the echo chamber and convinced himself that "No, everyone that doesn't agree with me is wrong", and I think he's probably bitter that he's not the respected media critic and political pundit he sees himself as. I think he's well aware of the reality that he's a 40 year old literal basement dwelling neckbeard that still doesn't get why life shits on him and everyone but his brother and a few sycophants hate him.
