I actually discovered Moviebob earlier than most people; back in the day when his Overthinker episodes were watchable and didn't consist of poorly acted "comedic framing devices" (made by a film critic no less), Moviebob was at the peak: He had a black president, the Nintendo console was popular, and his E-Fame was still fresh and allowed him to lecture people at conventions and still be taken seriously. And how did he handle it? He was angry that Call of Duty was popular and that people didn't like his Nintendo games enough. You know how Bob endlessly rants about Donald Trump now? He used to constantly remind you how much he hates First Person Shooters on the Xbox 360. He did this to the detriment of his own golden years.

You're having a hard time seeing that? I am too! Apparently, Moviebob projects so hard that he thinks when other people or things he likes are succeeding, that's a victory for him! Even if those things are totally screwing him and taking his lunch money.
 
On Moviebob's own blog, one of his commenters asked who Bob would save the life of if he could only pick one: a bus full of minorities, or a bus full of the director and cast of the next 100 superhero movies. He made that comment to prove a point about how meritocracy works. The fact that Bob hasn't said anything when people ask him this says a lot.

I wouldn't say "raged", it's moreso following the opinions of his sempais. He went from hoping it "interrogates" it's premise, to being smug when the generally positive reviews rolled in, to maybe realizing that people would take him even less seriously if he praised it just because Spielberg made it.

Reading Bob's tweets one after the other you start to get this dull ringing in your ears and your eyes start to blur. It's just such inane drivel. I can't imagine anyone reading all of this.
