How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I can go on and on and on about Bob. But it's pretty safe to say that he's a hilarious embarrassment to his parents.
What is Bob to his brother and his family? I understand he has a niece by at least one relative (feel free to correct me if this is his brother, too). Is he just "that one uncle" to the in-laws?

What is the funniest thing that you laughed at Bob for doing?

Existing.

I mean, judging by social media posts he seems to fairly close with his brother and his niece (the niece you mentioned is his brothers daughter). As for everyone else in Bob's family, nothing has ever really been said as to how they feel about him. I kind of get the feeling that everyone in Bob's family just puts up for him rather then genuinely care for him. He's the one family member that no one likes, but they might pity him because they know he's just incapable of actually being a functional human being.

This has lead to some hilarious mental gymnastics and people making statements that are just out of line with reality. Is Black Panther another average MCU film that got massively overhyped because of its majority black cast? Sure, you can happily make that argument. But to imply it's some kind of failure or signalling the downturn of the MCU? No. A film featuring a C-List comics character that's critically acclaimed and grosses over a billion dollars isn't a failure by any stretch, yet I've seen people imply this multiple times. It's perfectly okay to laugh at Bob for masturbating over the film as he has. It's also okay to not like the film. But to try to find any reason to put it down just to disagree with Bob is kind of pathetic.

While I agree with the crux of your argument, I thought I would add my thoughts to the matter. I think that much of the a-logging of the MCU is a knee-jerk reaction to the blind praise Black Panther received from largely "progressive" critics (including Bob) and the Pavlovian-style marketing. Bob and his confederates would have us believe that there has not been a superhero film with a black lead (despite the fact that we have had films like Blade and Hancock) and Black Panther is a genuine phenomenon, but the question is: is it?

I cannot deny Black Panther's box office success, but one factor Bob intentionally ignores is domestic and worldwide gross adjusted for inflation. Gone With the Wind grossed slightly over $400 million worldwide after it's 1939 release, but when you adjust for almost eighty years of inflation, it grossed nearly $3.5 billion in 2014 dollars. Similarly, Star Wars grossed $460 million in 1977 and that is $2.85 billion adjusted for inflation. In terms of ticket sales, Black Panther does not even reach half of either and will likely not come nearly as close as I expect it to be pulled from theatres before its home release in May.

I believe the main concern with Black Panther's success is that it may represent a shift where activism will take precedence over storytelling, and many here expressed concern over the MCU stagnating. Bob obviously does not care as he gets his pop culture pablum from his favourite mother corporate and will sing their praises because he believes that it will bring the world closer to his vision of a "superior future." One of the reasons why Infinity War is getting all this hype is because Marvel has been building up its cinematic universe up to this point since the first Avengers film. I want Infinity War to be good because I will be pissed if it isn't. Methinks I am not the only one here and a-logging it is unnecessary.

The real test will be if there can be an MCU after Avengers 4 with Captain America's likely death (as Chris Evans is done with the MCU) and Iron Man's possible retirement (I don't think RDJ wants to be Tony Stark forever.) I know there is the Fox deal to consider, but will fans come in droves for what amounts to a second X-Men reboot? Let us also consider that the "X" brand is not as strong as it once was in the 90s and early 00s. However, only time will tell. The only thing we know for certain is that Bob will be sperging about it on Twitter with his prosthetic hands after the 'beetus claims his arms.

I don't think so because with much of the original cast gone by 2020, the quality of the films will start to decline and people won't have the motivation to see them anymore. The MCU reboot of the X-Men will no where come close to some of the X-Men films my opinion since they would be only serve to keep the MCU going.

It will be a fact that whoever will play Wolverine in the MCU will never come close to Hugh Jackman in my opinion. Say what you will about the films, but Jackman brought energy, charisma, intensity, and depth to the character and did a lot more than carry the weight of those films.

Changing the subject a bit, but recent rumors regarding the PS5 suggest that it will be digital only (at least in countries with good internet, who knows what that means). This is dumb because not only is Sony planning on wasting extra money designing two models of it right out of the gate, but that will mean the end of lots of power customers would have- they'll now have no other option than to buy overpriced digital versions of games (which will remain overpriced- they won't have to compete with their own physical copies anymore). Moviebob, who used to have leanings towards customer advocacy- won't just not resist this, but will have a positive reaction. The Bob that wanted an all-the-way-backwards-compatible-and-also-region-free-with-frosting-on-top-PS4 would be overjoyed to find out that people he disagrees with and are fans of a different console will be getting majorly inconvenienced.

Remember "Dumber Alive" Moviebob's positive reaction to how fans of a niche Japanese franchise would have to pay a premium to import the game and wait a couple weeks instead of being able to buy it for cheaper at a store and be able to return it? It is one of Moviebob's worst videos ever, and I do not say that lightly- a hardline anti-customer video about how overjoyed he was that his perceived enemies (who were probably just regular people who liked the first two games) would have something definitively bad happen to them. A far cry from the Bob who virtue signalled about Project Rainfall (and probably didn't even buy any of the three games, at least not as we've heard). In the video, Bob talks about how the usual "big corporations" have conditioned us to have an us vs them fanboy mentality (which i dunno about you, I've grown out of and Moviebob is still a willing pawn of) and doesn't have one shred of self-reflection. He tried to justify it by simpering "It's okay guys, nobody's taking anything away from you, the PS4's region free" not realizing the extra cost and inconvenience that entails.

As someone for whom most game purchases have been imports, this is annoying. I have to buy games on eBay, wait two weeks for them to arrive, and if I don't like them (which is often), I have almost nobody to give them to but weird retro game stores that barely exist anywhere and won't take my stuff all that often. I thought, in the superior global future, that would be over and done with, but here comes Bob saying that expensive imports are the only option I'll still have in the future.

Oh, and DOAX3 turned out to be a huge disappointment. Had it been released in the States, I could have returned it for a full refund.

Man, it's gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooong week (I do hope that it's a good movie worthy of discussion though).

EDIT: BTW has he said anything about the most recent Deadpool 2 trailer?

I just hope it's a good movie in general . And Our resident poster hasn't screenshotted anything that indicated he has. From my understanding.

He hasn't posted his thoughts, but knowing him it would go: Tepid praise, followed by playing armchair executive.

I bet if that happened Bob will call it a betrayal and/or want that actor's character to die/become a villain

With our luck it would be the actor portraying Thanos and Bob would declare it the best. casting. ever.

"How dare you not live down to my stereotype!"

I wonder if Bob would offer "how to be black again" lessons...

Who cares what ordinance the police have if you have your own? When I say "kill all humans" you think I'm planning to do it with a bread knife? Hell no, I've got my anthrax ready!
