This James Gunn sperging encapsulates the reason I became fascinated with Chipman in the first place: his ability to get upset over the most banal shit imaginable and project a Manichean with-us-or-against-us veil over it to the point where he proclaims that people who are merely indifferent over Disney’s firing of a capeshit director (who, unless they’re named Christopher Nolan or James Mangold, are easily replaceable) are complicit in enabling Nazism. However, I'd argue that in his unfailing inability to understand human behavior or motivations, he invites this kind of low-effort trolling by his grotesque and hypocritical overreactions. Multiple reasons:

1) Edgar's exit was purely due to creative differences, this shit happens 3 times a day in Hollywood and people got desensitized to it after a while. Compare this to the political nature of Gunn's dismissal in a very divided cultural landscape.

2) Ant-Man as a movie wasn't a known quantity, so autists didn't have anything to latch on and project their personal feelings on (see Bob projecting his feelings on his Father's death into GOTG vol. 2), but with Guardians, the internet had two whole installments to absorb before Gunn's firing, so that made it hurt so much more.
