You could argue that States like Wyoming are full of empty space. (The US Government owns 50 percent of the land there.) But even there you have national treasures like Yellowstone and a massive 2 billion dollar per year tourism industry.
As we saw in the wedding photos, Bob can't even enjoy being a exotic location. Chances are he doesn't see any value in national parks and would rather be the "Ugly American tourist" stereotype in a major world city.

It makes me smh too

Me, also.

Ever hear of East Jordan Iron Works? You might not have. East Jordan is a little town about a half hour from where I was born and raised. Population of... shit, I dunno, a couple thousand? Flyover country.

But if you haven't heard of them? Look down, sometime. They make iron gratings and covers for sewers, storm drains, tree grates, fire hydrants, and the like. They supply a good percentage of the ones used in the country - not all, but a lot. And they supply them internationally, too.

Fucking hell, it's almost poetic - flyover country is under your feet and hauling your shit, and you keep your nose in the air, Bob.

That future-obsessed friend I used to know? Every time we were on a road trip and drove by a factory, he would sneer, sometimes literally at them, calling them "a disgrace".

Why?

Because they were "Dirty" and "completely unacceptable"

Well, where were we supposed to be getting our paper and steel from if we couldn't run mills? That stuff doesn't grow on trees.

He never had an answer, except to just get angrier and say "You aren't listening" Or that "pollution" was bad. (I don't think he got that the "smoke" coming from that paper mill was harmless steam)

And on and on it went, every freeway interchange that required more than one lane change to use was "poorly designed" every power line we drove under was "poorly planned" (it should be underground where weather/terrorists can't knock it down so easy) every railroad crossing was an affront, there should always be a bridge so you don't have to wait for the dirty ol' train, which goes too slow, trains in Europe can do 300, why can't we? Incompetence, that's why....

Bob must be a hoot on car trips, I get the feeling he can't help but point out every single thing outside the window that's, similarly, "a disgrace" to his vision of America. I'll bet his blood pressure spikes every time an F-150 drives past him....

The second this news hit, my immediate reaction was "MovieBob is eventually going to lose his Twitter account because of this."

Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if Bob is the very first person to get kicked-off of Twitter as a result of this policy change. Him tweeting non-stop everyday makes him the perfect candidate for it.

NEW POLL IDEA: "What would Bob do if/when he gets banned from Twitter."

My guess is he'd get drunk, pick a fight with the first non Bostonian white guy he saw, attempt to throw a punch, miss, pass out from over exertion, then piss and vomit on himself before getting woken up and carted away by police.

He probably breaks out in a cold sweat once he reaches a landlocked state.

The revisionism begins.

Is it revisionism tho? Let's look at what he's saying.

>I have never (in any meaningful capacity that anyone themselves worth taking seriously would take seriously) so that wouldn't worry me.
>in any meaningful capacity that anyone themselves worth taking seriously would take seriously
>anyone themselves worth taking seriously

This is what he's saying about you, the person questioning his beliefs. It's not so much "revisionism" as him calling you a dumbass for implying his twitter sperging has any impact on the real world.....despite being legitimate beliefs of his that he wants people reading twitter to enact IRL.

Reminds me of once arguing with Bob and he was telling me that I shouldn't take him saying certain humans aren't human seriously as he's in no position to change the definition despite his previous rants about how we need to study if there's some genetic marker than separates conservatives from "modern 21st century man".

You gotta remember Bob thinks we're on the cusp of a post-scarcity economy and the only reason we don't have automated 3d printers manufacturing that shit out of chunks of rock is because factory workers are lobbying against it.

Eh, I'm tired. Plus you just kinda zone out when you have to sift through his verbal diarrhea day in and day out.

Cute. Bob thinks his lack of temporal political power will shield him from the consequences of his speech. Because back after WW2 ended, the Nazi party members who produced anti-semitic propaganda were totally let off the hook and allowed to go free because they didn't personally oversee the killing of any Jews.

What is it the Social Justice Warriors always say? "Words are dangerous! Hate Speech can kill!" Except when it comes to their hate speech, in which case it's "I didn't have the power to actually DO anything, so I'm not responsible for any terrorism that was inspired by my words!"
