Just a reminder for you all, this is the same guy who thinks he has worked hard to earn his future when he is a diabetic obese man child living in a basement who has done the following:
He can't help it. For all his scale-flattening girth, Bob is an incredibly small man, intellectually speaking. His entire life revolves around pop culture, to the point that it is his only frame of reference. No great novels (even by his favored minorities), no shining examples of cinema, no treatises on philosophy- hell, not even an actual, face-to-face conversations with a real person. His entire life is either sperging about Trump and/or those obsolete mayonnaise ghouls (look in the mirror, Casper), or whatever new movie Hollywood cranks out. This has resulted in a seriously stunted intellect that cannot see the world in terms other than pop culture. He likes to think he sounds smart, but his ideas cannot hold up to serious scrutiny.

Mike Judge was thinking about people like Bob when he co-wrote and directed Idiocracy. For all his supposed love of science, Bob possesses no intellectual curiosity because he believes that he knows everything he needs to go and ignores anything he deems irrelevant or inconvenient to his preferred narrative. Hell, his fucking "job" involves him sitting on his ass and watching mind-numbing, overly-commercialized pap half the time. What really gets to me is that Bob has no sense of responsibility. Think of the many times people have called him out his pro-eugenics views and he deflects them every single time because his walnut-sized brained cannot comprehend that he is the exact same the supposed "Nazis" he hates. If society is intellectually stagnating, then it is because of people like him and not the mayonnaise ghouls.
Better and better! This whole extended rant is just gold. This right here shows what makes Bob such a pure and utter lolcow; Bob has, in his own way, latched on to a completely unrealistic fantasy as the solution to all his mundane self-created problems. Just like Chris believes in a "dimensional merge" that will happen and solve all his financial problems, like Taxman believed in opening a portal to a cartoon dimension of pastel talking magic ponies to solve his problems of alcoholism, loneliness, and a dead-end job, Bob believes in the Singularity that will happen and save him from his self-inflicted health problems and apparent financial incompetence. While the Singularity is ever so slightly more plausible than the Dimensional Merge or Crossing the Border project, and has somewhat more fellow believers, it does have the rather significant drawback that Bob can't actually do anything in terms of personally moving it forward, resulting in hateful rants like this one. Bob probably in his day-to-day life actually thinks things like "I hope the Singularity comes in the next few weeks, it will save me a trip to Wal-Mart to buy some new and larger pants".
Indeed. I'm still trying to figure out what Bob thinks "bad oxygen" is. He is most likely thinking of other gases like carbon dioxide, but is too dumb to figure that out. Besides, the only gas he should be worried about is the build-up of methane in his basement "apartment." Only heaven knows how flatulence he lets out because of his poor diet.
I think we all know movies and entertainment helped make his “knowledge.”
