Different cultures have different views of major world events. The Koreans, for example, wouldn't know what the Holocaust was, and might see nothing wrong with joking about gassing the Jews. However, those same Koreans would get (rightfully) pissed if you made a joke about comfort women.Indians don't have negative feelings about Hitler because Indians were affected very little by World War 2. Indians don't give a shit about the Holocaust because it happened thousands of miles away to people that they know nothing about and care about even less. Indians, the smarter ones anyway, know that if World War 2 had never happened, the British Empire would have lasted a lot longer and it would have been much harder for India to gain independence. The Brits promised the Indians that they would get their independence in exchange for soldiers, supplies, and a promise from the Indians that they would neither help Britain's enemies nor hinder the Brits by passive resistance and strikes. It was a good deal for the Indians, especially since few of the Indian troops were used as front-line troops, Gurkhas and several elite divisions notwithstanding. World War 2 also led to India rapidly industrializing, leaving them as a powerhouse in Asia compared to their regional neighbors.
TLDR: Dot Indians don't care about Hitler because Hitler was far away and never bothered them or anyone they'd ever seen, like Jews, Gypsies, Russians, and Christian dissidents. World War 2 led directly to independence, so they've got pretty positive feelings about it, all in all.
But Bob and the Twitter Stasi are so Americentric that they wouldn't know about that.
