Not without an extensive medical history of medication changes, and at least one hospital stay, or suicidal attempt. The judge in my case said in my final denial “I’m not saying she’s lying, but the documentation doesn’t back up her statements.”
Having a terrible employment record helps too, if you have had trouble keeping jobs for long periods of time and gaps in employment. But since he’s non-compliant with meds, but has a solid history of finding employment the lack of long term jobs is not likely to help him absent the medical documentation. Also, his habit of suing everyone in the world and following through with the process, despite all the fuckups, would convince a judge that he is capable of some sort of work. Same with his music and book, terrible, unsuccessful, but complete and published.
He’d have to prove that he no longer has the mental capacity to make any kind of sustained effort in some way. Like not being able to type or complete a sentence, which he can’t do because of his lawsuits. Even though ChatGPT is writing them, he has enough mental capacity to work ChatGPT and file the documents with the correct court case.
The whole process is pretty invasive, they want all kinds of documents and proof of lots of things, which makes sense. One of the tests is just being able to navigate the first two attempts by yourself without help, because the government always denies the first attempt unless it’s just so obvious a case. Because a large percentage of people won’t follow through with an appeal, even the honest ones who do qualify. That’s speculation from an attorney I worked with who specialized in disability claims.
Munchies can get approved because they go to the doctor every time they have a sore throat and press for tests to rule out cancer. Sane people with chronic pain who would qualify for disability know that going to the doctor their back hurts because of a degenerative disease is going to just be told the same thing every time (there’s not much we can do, take an ibuprofen and put heat on it) don’t get disability because they don’t game the system.
