The script and acting are just bland as hell. All the charm and genuine passion behind the Japanese dub and DiC dub are lost. Really just comes off as something being done out of obligation.
 
I want to see the former RoosterTeeth employees seethe when Viz gets Vic to work on another dub, or heaven forbid, RWBY.

The more I think about Kerry claiming RWBY as his own intellectual property, the worse it seems. That type of behavior follows someone around in a relatively gossipy, small, industry. It’s no surprise that the crowdfunding for a tenth season that he tried to hype up, failed. I remember thinking at the time that he was going about it with no shame, telling his remaining audience that everything was fine, while begging for donors to come save RWBY. It didn’t add up or look honest. He’s some faggot that a guy with an actual idea, saved from being just another fat faggot cog in a (shitty) machine. Kerry would have never touched RWBY if Monty hadn’t ok’d him & he repays that by claiming he created it. Even if it’s not visible atm, (as the remaining fans are excited about the VIZ purchase on social media,) this BS Kerry pulled will plague his professional reputation forever.

Worst part is, you know he did that with no thought or pause. Probably just changed his twitter bio on a whim at 2am before going to bed, then forgot he did so by the time he woke up.

His professional reputation is over already anyhow - may as well go down swinging.

He killed RWBY - he was quite literally the decision maker after Monty died and was given a successful show with a built in audience, a sympathetic IRL story line, a gigantic budget, a video hosting platform, and fucking access to DC tie-ins. And even with what could be argued as the biggest head start as a showrunner/producer ever to exist, he still fucked it up. There's not a single good thing that happed to RWBY that can be intentionally attributed to him and most of the show's big failures he presided over.

He will forever be known as the guy who spent in excess of $7,000,000 dollars on a fucking filler season while the company was drowning in losses. Quite literally there's very few people alive that you'd want to run any project less than Kerry and/or Miles. He's 100% cooked after this.

I mean - if he kept RWBY going and/or helped RoosterTeeth in any way - he would have been riding the easy train for life. There are tons of social media companies, content creation companies, animation studios, etc that would have hired him for that alone.

For this kind of gig - all you have to do is not royally fuck up and you can get away with a lot (see - everyone currently involved with Star Wars, Every Matrix movie after the first, etc) but they royally fucked up in a way that's radioactive.

That depends on how much of a sped Kerry is going to be. So long as he doesn't do anything retarded like being his usual, smarmy Nick Bates lite self, then they'll be fine.

If not, the ensuing scandals are gonna be popcorn worthy.

There's a 0% chance that Kerry will have anything close to the power he had at RT and will not be able to squander nearly as much money (if any). He's going to be a figurehead/consultant for RWBY and that's it.

I found a podcast of Burnie and Ashley sulking about the Barbie movie not winning an Oscar. I think the only one I've come across that was touched by rooster teeth and turned out someone normal is Ray.
