Unfortunately, yes I was pointed to the article by Ryulong asking to protect against vandalism. I glanced at the history, noticed several reverted IPs IP edits, and SPP'ed without necessarily giving it all enough thought. I've long told him that I would never get involved in anything Buddy(l/r)oid-related on his behalf, but I seem to have struck out on this.

I'm human and faillible and yes, I let myself be dragged down the shithole by an editor I perceived as persecuted and vilified (some of it justified, some less so) but who ultimately had the interest of the project as a whole in mind. I believed (and still believe) and rehabilitation. I admit, at this moment, that I am wrong, at least for now. I no longer see rehabilitation as a possibility in the short or medium term for Ryulong.

fuck fuck fuck I don't see an easy solution. I can either cut all ties and ignore the ongoing proxying and walk away or try to get this stopped by admitting I was a big part of the problem. I hate that I ever allowed myself to get dragged into this. I guess the reputation that some attribute me as a soft-hearted, naive optimist was right after all, and Ryulong has unfortunately benefited from my unwillingness to admit I can't save and rehabilitate everyone.

This is Ryulong, so the answer is probably a no. This seems to have been sparked in part by his buddyloids-Salvidrim drama mixed with other RW users rejecting an image of Richard Dawkins he had created and uploaded.
