I've known that the original devs left years ago yet I still had high hopes and the first look of the game. I didn't think it was going to actually work out before that (IIRC there was like a 2-3 year difference between the announcement and trailer). Now, seeing the many delays and the faked gameplay and all that, I don't have high hopes. I'll stay with the older games. I hate to say it, but Anomaly might be the closest we have to a modern day STALKER for the foreseeable future.

No mods to my knowledge that allows for gamepad inputs. You will probably have to use a remapper if you want to try and use it. If using one is important than I would just get the game on console.

Some mods that “enhance” the game is OGSR which you can get with the gunslinger mod. I honestly don’t like how this one looks but gunslinger is pretty cool. The drive link is in their discord so I can’t get it atm. An older one is AMK which I remember being solid.

It’s not set in the “aftermath” of Chernobyl explosion either, unless you consider the present day the “aftermath”. It’s set in the aftermath of the second explosion, which caused all the anomalies and the rush of people to the Zone to capitalize it.
Every game is set in Ukraine and under a Ukrainian government. The Ukrainian military is featured prominently in the game.
The Russian dialogue was there only because that’s what a lot of the post soviets states still speak, being less than only 20 years after the fall. It makes total sense why there was Russian dialogue then, and why now they don’t want to include it due to being at war with Russia now. Who wants to play a game in the language of your enemies when you have your own language you can use at home?

Atomic Heart says otherwise, and yes that game does have an English translation, but I doubt many people played with it (mostly because of how awful it is), so they just booted up the English subs for it. Which is also funny, since the devs hapilly sold it all around the world, but the STALKER devs needed to be twats and attack 'em. Also, this game isn't aimed just at Ukranians, it's aimed at the Western Market as well aaand yet I recall their trailers rarely feature an English dub. Maybe like 2 out of how many trailers?

I don't care if the trailers for STALKER 2 aren't in English. They're making an English translation of the game, but isn't half the fun of STALKER the Gopnik jankness? Having all the voice acting being in English would ruin it. I'm confused what you're trying to say here.

You're right, I was mistaken as I only looked at the first Google result. Kudos to Atomic Heart. I still don't think it makes a difference, especially with a power imbalance between Ukraine and Russia in this war.

Shame survarium is dead, it was fun for the most part. But when you got above like level 6 its got real unfun very quickly with the rank 10 power armor guys I'd empty a whole clip into their head and they'd look at me and say “What a fool you are. I’m a god. How can you kill a god?”

The only one that comes to mind is that Pioner game that is being worked on by A4 and GSC devs, along with some Atomic Heart devs.

Because the "Ukranian devs" can speak Russian just fine, they just wanna act like pompous faggots about it, and pretend they're so damn special. Okay, if that's the case, how about returning the money to all the Russian gamers that pre-ordered the game and then were given the middle finger and told to fuck off, THAT isn't bad PR right, but removing the Russian translation, shoving an Ukranian poem about "Subhuman Russians" into one of your trailers that's all fine and dandy, right?

I will say this. I have no issue with them having Ukrainian language subtitles and audio tracks. I actually appreciate it a lot. I'm as anti-zigger and pro-Ukraine as one could reasonably be. However, it's clear that they refuse to ship the game with Russian audio solely out of spite towards ethnic Russians, who comprise a large share of their countrymen. There is no good reason that the game will only have Ukrainian and English audio except as an attempted "fuck you" to the Kremlin, which comes off as more of a "fuck you" to ethnic Russians across the world because they're associating Russian language with the decaying, Islamic, churka-riddled husk known erroneously as the "Russian Federation".

Also, as a complete aside, if you claim to be a true S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan but have never played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Mobile, you're a fucking scammer.
