Flippy's follow-up video is what was needed to put everything into perspective. It validates everyone's opinion from the first video about Minimaul, that he is a faggot and its all his fault the patch wasn't going to be completed. The only thing that changed is I don't believe this was about the money but how he would be viewed by the community.
If it was for the money then he would have to submit his work to meet the milestones as agreed upon by Deep Silver. He would have to write up reports that work was completed, so when he submits his work someone at Deep Silver would review his progress through their own testing and if they were satisfied with the results then Minimaul would have been compensated.
Flippy said in the video Minimaul was to implement the DLC into the patch and work on bugs, he didn't do any of it. What I believe is because he created the modding tools and My Steelport for Saints Row that he thought he could work on the multiplayer, which was a feature the diehard Saints Row fans wanted and he wanted to be the one that made it happen and that is when he realised he was in over his head. Questioning his skills as a coder and out of fear of a confrontation with the others involved in the project and the community as a whole, is why he left everybody in the dark.
The Saints Row community is a small group of very passionate people and for Minimaul admitting failure, he probably felt that he would never be able to show his face in that community again. Minimaul at that point was still held in high regard, at least with the community since the project team hated him. He was worried that everybody would think he is incompetent and that they would lose respect for him. He probably hated the idea that everybody would be working on the patch with out him. I could believe that Minimaul wanted to be viewed as a hero for the patch where as Mike didn't care, he just wanted it done.
Thomas Jepp (Minimaul) is a retard for what he did to Mike, Flippy and the community and for that the only solution is to give the site to someone else.
