I’ve been subject to background checks for work and another thing they do is review your finances. They require bank statements, tax returns and credit card statements. They do this to check your transactions for any red flags but also to see if you are financially stable because if you are bad with money you are easy to compromise. No way he’s getting any type of clearance spending 5 figures on a streamer.

Absolutely they would. They interview your friends, family, coworkers, old teachers, etc. They are looking for red flags and twitch and youtube don't count as red flags.
