Careercow Scott Raymond Adams / @ScottAdamsSays / “Real Coffee With Scott Adams” - The Washed Up Cartoonist Behind “Dilbert”, Creator of “The Dilberito”, Professional Bullying Victim, Political Grifter, Terminally Online Narcissistic Boomer, Divorced Twice, Is (Not) Glad His Stepson Overdosed. This is Not a Racial Politics Debate Thread

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Now he's basically retarded. He claims the comic promotes the idea that Scott insisted that people take the vaccine. I can't imagine reading that comic and coming to that conclusion. To me and everyone else in this thread, the comic has Ben calling Scott exactly what he is. A fucking idiot.
I stopped listening to his podcast when his idea to get people vaccinated was to treat it like the draft and when your number gets called it's treated like service to your country and you get vaxxed. He's always been pro-forced vaccinations when it comes to covid, he needs to stop pretending he wasn't

If only his son was shooting up vaccines instead of drugs.

This guy is a fucking dumbass. Even fatrick could follow a story as simple as Zycon wrote - Fauci has three needles in the first (could be Mitch McConnell I guess but Ben labeled him) and says to obey, and the second shows clott adams saying “I will obey” and he has three needles in his arm. Clearly it’s clott who is obeying.

Also Ben reposted this 4 days ago on instagram (I have no idea how to archive it) because of some muskshit which is obviously what set adams off. Now that the clotter childs know how to alog him, he’s fucking toast.

I'm sure he will be able to find a lawyer to take the case. If you can pay for the retainer and the hours, you can find a lawyer to sue a potato.

That said, the lawyer better be ready for this clown to be a nightmare of a client. I am certain that he will not be able to keep his mouth shut about the case. Adams is the kind of client that could end up with six months in jail on contempt charge steming from a simple moving violation.

I'm not sure how much Garrison has in terms of a war chest. This is a kind of situation where Adams has no chance of winning anything but would be more than happy to ruin Garrison financially regardless of the cost to himself.

On a positive, I would imagine a gofundme for Garrison would be pretty successful.

Live Stream Meltdown
Adams hosts a daily hour long livestream show, “Real Coffee With Scott Adams”, which he uses to spew forth his thoughts and musings to his boomer audience while drinking coffee. One day, a viewer named “Shelley”, left a comment in chat that critiqued Scott for flip flopping his views on Vaccinations during 2020, which resulted in Scott going on an unhinged rant and ending the stream

I realized this is in fact the second time I have read of Scott chimping out over the vaccinations. This is obviously a sore spot for him and just shows he can't admit to being wrong.

One of the defining traits of a type of lolcow is not even being unwilling to take the L; it’s being unwilling to just stop talking about the thing that involves the L. He can’t shut up about it which makes it so clear he KNOWS it is a massive L and can’t stand it

I’d support it. I find Garrison’s cartoons crude and obnoxious, but he is nevertheless expressing his right to free speech. Adams is very open about the fact that this is a power thing, and has all but outright said that this is about him expressing power and showing what a big, tough, smart, rich man he is. Fuck that shit. Fuck attacks on free speech and double-fuck the guy doing it because his Instathot ex got tired of his Dilberito.

Whichever way this goes, Adams has drawn a target on his back. Unless he quietly backs off, he has doomed himself to hundreds of cartoons making fun of him, because that’s what the Internet does. It may already be too late.

Countdown until "this is what I wanted actually, I was just pretending to be retarded so to get more publicity because reasons 54D-chesticles you idiots"
I love it when retard boomers talk to their lawyers and they're told that yes goy, you have a really good chance of winning this defamation case, which they will inevitability lose due to parody and freedom of speech. But the lawyer will still get paid, LOL!
You present your case to the lawyer with the positions reversed, and see if they tell you to settle; if they DO then you might actually have a case worth pursuing.

You
Scott went on to elaborate his ideas further in today's episode. Starting at 42:00 he begins by saying the comic drawn by Zyklon Ben presents the message that Scott insists others take the vaccine, when his actual beliefs are the opposite of that. He goes on to explain in his highly scientific twitter poll about 46% of people said they stopped supporting (buying his shit) because of their misunderstanding of his belief. Since Ben's comic spreads this alleged misunderstanding further he believes it is hurting his bottom line.

He admits that it's almost impossible to win a defamation case, but lists off the 5 qualifications for something to be defamation and why Ben's comic meets the criteria. My commentary will be in ().
1. It has to be published - It most certainly is.
2. Person being defamed had to be mentioned by the statement - Says he is named and shown in the comic (Actually Scott isn't named, the person in the comic is Clott Adams, but it's safe to say it would meet this criteria regardless)
3. Remarks had a negative impact on the person's reputation - Allegedly very easy to demonstrate as he'll just run a twitter poll to prove it. (No idea how well twitter polls hold up in court)
4. Published information is demonstrably false - Easy to prove since everything he's said is in the public, and if Ben tries to use any tweets to back his point they can easily be debunked because those are "out of context" (My proof is good because it's mine. His is bad because it's not mine)
5. Defendant is at fault and demonstrate malice - He sent him a message on Instagram asking him to make a statement saying "this comic does not accurately portray Scott's views," and if he doesn't that will be enough to prove malice. (Say sike right fucking now or I will see you in court. This strikes me more as legal intimidation than anything else)

His mental gymnastics were not the best part of the stream though. The best part was him admitting he is absolutely willing to go to court and lose, pay a quarter of a million dollars in settlement money, if it means he can prove in the court of law that he was misrepresented. Taking a page from Sargon in doing whatever it takes to trigger the libs, own the libs. I wish I was kidding here is an exact quote at 51:05.
"Here's the real play, the play is this I want to create way more attention to the lawsuit then the original comic got. And if losing the court case also surfaces the fact that it was not accurate statement about me, that'd be fine....I don't care what happens after that. If that costs me a quarter of million dollars, money well spent."

You deserve a medal for listening to the stream. Thank you.

If you have the right kind of homeowners insurance, it will cover the cost.

Scott's plan isn't to file a lawsuit. He wants Ben Garrison to publicly state that Scott "does not support the vaccine". That's the goal. That's why he sent Ben that threatening Instagram message.

Scott wants Ben himself to vindicate Scott. Scott can then declare victory forever on this topic, if he can simply get Ben to capitulate. Scott's going to increase the pressure, over and over, until Ben issues an apology.

I hope Ben is smart enough to call Scott's bluff. He has no chance of winning in court.

Former Canuck lawyer and current Youtuber, Viva Frei, commented on Scott Adams current legal musings.

To sum up his view point, he thinks Adams must be kidding because there's nothing defamatory about the cartoon. It should again be noted that Viva is a Canuck and is friendly with Adams, so he is looking at it in the best light possible. And he still thinks he has no case.

I don't actually think Scott Adams is going to sue Ben Garrison over this cartoon because there's nothing in the slightest defamatory over it. It is quite clearly opinion, quite clearly protected opinion and the only unfortunate thing is... arguably supported by Scott's previous tweets. (16:42)
