SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

Roget? What were his best works in your opinion?
No More Nightmares (the nightlight) comes to mind...though it looks like someone rewrote it with some stupidass analog horror photos added for effect. While skimming through his author page, I found that the SCPs I used to like were also rewritten (like his first 001 proposal and these two Class of ‘76 articles 1, 2). Not even the site history essays were safe! He’s also not as funny as I remembered, RIP.

At least the New Jersey foot wall is still as is. (:_(

eta:

Just out of curiosity, are there any SCP writers that are confirmed true and honest women?

Zyn is, isn’t she?

Women can't write good science fiction outside of shitty romance space operas. If you ask a female writer to come up with an interesting setting which involves paranormal shit, nine out of ten it's most likely gonna be Twilight but in space.

I was going to make a smartass remark but I have absolutely no fucking clue why this man thought this was a good idea.
’s becasue the same artist did the winning art for I think it was SCP-6000? yeah. basically the 0000’s contests are the pop charts; who has the most social media boost, the most popularity, the best article formula (this author has at least 3 other articles that are this same formula rehashed), the best producer, the best album artist, yadda. it’s a media production contest by now. we all know pop songs that top the charts are astroturfed and generally suck ass as songs, but hey that’s the goal for some.

forget the picture, look at the fucking scrollbar.
that shit's almost as long as a leftist meme!

Now that I’ve gone through these old SCPs again, I can’t tell which is worse, my taste or my memory.
I take the old 122 over the new one, even if it was a bit lackluster (how relates the nightlight to SCPs that appear to make people sleep besides "haha nightlight=sleep"?).
I'd go as far and call it a crappy rewrite because besides the basic idea "powered off nightlight makes things appear" doesn't really have anything to do with the original. just make your own frigging scp...

The picture is just a little dingleberry topping the whole shit package. Scroll down to the containment procedures and it's immediately made clear to you that this article is not in fact a real SCP article and instead it's going to be some retard's 2735th attempt at another cringy """subversive""" novel about the world ending and both characters behave like something you'd read in a tumblr self-insert fanfiction. Fuck's sake, if there was something like a writing-gore.net domain, you could just redirect that shit to SCP at this point. Every article breaks every rule and does everything wrong.

Can we get a TLDR or something? I'm not reading all this shit.

this piece of shit is longer than the old testament and i hope the writer burns in hell

SCP-8000 is a massive, serpentine entity that resembles a harbor seal, with a length estimated to be between 75 to 150 meters. Its anomalous abilities include self-propelled flight and phasing through solid objects, with eyewitness reports further detailing its unusual characteristics, despite its origins and full range of properties remaining largely unclear. SCP-8000's unique behavior and the implications of its presence, as well as its interactions with Foundation personnel, notably with Director Paul Lague, reveal a complex entity capable of advanced communication, intelligence, and possibly manipulative behavior.

Director Lague encounters SCP-8000, which engages him in conversation and invites him to explore an uncharted library - a domain that seemingly embodies the entirety of Lague's personal and emotional history. Throughout their interaction, SCP-8000, which also humorously entertains the name "Wally," guides Lague through a introspective journey, addressing his deep-seated fears, regrets, and the root causes of his professional and personal dissatisfaction.

Lague's professional life is marred by his obsession with success and recognition, leading to the development of the Seeker machine - a paratechnological device intended to predict and discover new anomalies by analyzing information across millions of parallel universes. Despite the project initially being heralded as a pinnacle of Lague's career, it becomes clear that the motivation behind Seeker is deeply intertwined with his personal insecurities and a relentless pursuit of an unattainable perfection. This leads to a catastrophic future where the Seeker machine, pushed beyond its safe operational limits by Lague, implodes, destroying Site-322 and killing everyone involved, including Lague himself.

Through SCP-8000's intervention and a journey through the memories of both successes and failures, Lague comes to realize the destructive nature of his actions and the value of accepting and cherishing the achievements and relationships he has fostered over the years. SCP-8000 assists Lague in confronting and accepting these truths, leading to a poignant moment of self-realization and growth for Lague. In the end, Lague manages to take control of his destiny, narrowly averting the catastrophic destruction of Site-322 by adjusting the Seeker machine's parameters to safe levels with the help of his colleagues.
some guy invents a machine to detect anomalies and it explodes because he's overambitious, so a funny reddit seal teaches him to be a better person like the ghosts in A Christmas Carol
even if he cut out all the quirky characters and in-jokes, the idea is still retarded and the writer should atone for his sins
