Yeah, honestly, a complete overhaul like in the olden years is due I'd say.

Speaking of dumb SCP ideas; I recently got one too since the thread shifted; a scratch lotto ticket whose numbers randomly result in events happening to you within a week or two of scratching for them; the closer you are to a winning number, the more unlikely and significant the event. The only problem is it's about 50/50 good or bad.

Yeah, I too noticed the downfall in quality on the SCP Foundation stuff.

As much as I don't mind the other organizations (Marshall Carter and Dark and Chaos Insurgency are the ones I like the most), even before the SocJus takeover, content went to a downfall.

That Korean fox girl SCP went from mediocre to mildly interesting once they had added that log from the agents being stuck into an illusion, then fed with larvae and human flesh.

Okay, so... Outside the actual SCP community, there are unstabled and exceptional people who take this shit as fact. I've bumped into one on FB about 2 years ago. Claimed he actually was a vampire, then not, then he was a werewolf, THEN he claimed he was some other creature, THEN he begged people to turn him into a werewolf because he had a deep yearning to be one, and knew deep down that he had a werewolf soul (think Chris-chan and his lesbian soul). His grand plan was to set up his own institute, get university accreditation for it, oh and train child soldiers to fight against AWTOK. I think the guy's name was Adam LeTrexane or some crap. All i have left in my archives from his dox ages ago are a few websites and is FB account that appears to have been abandoned around the time he was ousted as a nutter.

What tipped a LOT of people off that he was insane is that he kept going around to pagan FB groups seeking out someone to come to canada and turn him into a werewolf. At first a lot of us thought he was just trolling or at the very least he was roleplaying. But looking deeper, it was discovered he has a history of this shit going back as far as about 2011-2013 and honestly believes he's some supernatural messiah who's going to save non-humans with his fringe science institute. these are all the links that i have left over.

I can't tell if this is making fun of troons or meant in earnest. I'm sad that it's come to that point.

For good SCPs, personally I liked the endless stairwell and the red disc that takes you to the weird empty world. Also even though it's autistic, I have a soft spot for the supernatural alt history SCPs. Even the dumb stuff like the Sarkic cultists vs. Cyrus the Great and the Daevite empire that's slowly retconning itself into existence with that book.

The recent PRIDE MONTH messaging reeks of something that has been taken over by people who want to "reform" whatever clique or subculture they have entered, their tone positive and moralistic, but also uses the words 'purging' and 'toxic' prominently in regards to the now problematic elements which built it up originally. Nice thing you people - in this case 4channers - built, it's ours now -- and it always was, "morally".

So, I've been lookin' through some stuff on that site, and I have noticed this one mod called weryllium. This guy seems extremely ban happy for the slightest faults like:

Edit: I've been checking up on the underage bans, and it seems that ProcyonLotor guy asks the age of anybody who annoys him so that he can then ban them if they happen to give the wrong age.

SCP, which stands for Secure Contain Protect, is an online wiki containing thousands of online horror fiction or "creepy pastas" all based around a secretive government organization that contains and documents supernatural items, events, and creatures. The site came to be after some posters on 4chan's paranormal forum, /x/ decided to collect and archive some creepy pastas they made back in 2008.

The site has a long and storied history, and as the site grew, so did the community, eventually a forum was set up and the site continued to grow. As the community expanded, the articles started to dip steadily in quality, this is where the first instance of drama started. Since this would take too long to type, I will let this "Down The Rabbit Hole" video explain the early history and old drama:

After this drama ended SCP community continued to grow in popularity and content and even spawned fan-made video games such as "Containment Breach" and "SCP-087"

The current drama begins this month, which happens to be Pride Month. For the first time the SCP website and sites linked to them changed their logo to a variation of containing the LGBT flag colors. Made by a tumblr user 5c0ut who has since deleted his account. Cached tumblr here:

This caused a commotion among the very large SCP community over "breaking the 4th wall" and promoting real life issues on a site which has nothing to do with reality. The SCP community admins made posts claiming they were striving over the past few years to back away from the "toxic 4chan culture" they originally came from and were moving to become a more inclusive community and saying anyone that disagrees with their statement or expresses "homophobia, racism, or transphobia" is no longer welcome. Even people who are neutral on the issue are being declared cowards.
