SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The sperging and SJW takeover is VERY behind the scenes, but participating in the website at all besides just being a lurker makes it very obvious fast
I wonder if this is incidental or intentional. Maybe SJWs are evolving their strategies.

But then again this site has existed for a number of years now and apparently this is just the way they always worked so maybe it's incidental.

Okay so the thing with SCP and collaborative writing is that over a long period of time the mentality of the collabs go "whats plausible and fits well with others" to "what can I do to make the most clickbaity thing?"

Overtime there was a subtle armsrace to make elements more exotic or using the same tried methods (such as Mary Sueing the fuck out of something to seem cool) to stand out. Usually the Art Director/Story Director stomps their foot, but if they aren't regarded or never even existed the community takes over and everyones preferences and quality standards are different.

Enter the Sperg: none so more than the community autists who are very likely to just accept things on their own narrative or canon, rather than the intentional story. At one point, these exceptionalists have the room to push the limits and everything assplodes into what we see today.

Moral of the story: Overtime everything turns to shit especially with autists on board; Sequels, Trilogies, SCP entires...

It's not rocket science. Coincidence or not, autistic timesinks and trooning has quite the overlap. It's why the farms has its fair share of LGBT.

Edited to make things make more sense for myself.

I've noticed that a reoccurring theme with SCP is all the gay wish fulfillment & not anything legit scary or interesting. A giant titty monster that causes people to revert into infants, wedding rings that turn the wearer into the ideal nuclear spouse, a monkey totem that does all your chores & don't even get me started on that Montauk satanic cult rape bullshit. It's unsurprising why the grand majority of these never made it into the game.

It's a joke SCP for a reason.

Last I checked, that pissed most of the deaf community off since that assumes there's something "wrong" with them that needs "fixed", when they can live perfectly normal lives with some adjustments (closed captioning, video calls, interpretation, etc etc.)

That's dumb, though. All disabled means is you lack an ability that normally humans have. Normally humans can hear. If you're deaf, you can't or can't as well. That is lacking an ability or having an impaired ability. That's disabled. It doesn't mean you're a piece of shit or something.

The DATA EXPUNGED shit works well enough in certain situations. It's similar to the noodle incident from Calvin and Hobbes where leaving details out can make it funnier, or in this case scarier. Fear of the unknown is powerful. When a whole page is full of DATA EXPUNGED shit, though, the writer is just being a lazy twat.

[REDACTED] often just means "whoops I can't think of anything for this bit but I want it to look creepy anyway." Done well it would mean you actually have to think about what's being redacted.

It's like an even worse version of when Lovecraft would describe some monster as being, like, totally undescribable and shit but here, have a half a page of overblown adjectives about how indescribable it is.

It would be pretty problematic, in its real sense, to have a game mechanic involving child rape.

The resentful push to stop classifying disabilities as, well, disabilities seems like a really bad attitude to have. We also have autistic people who actively fight against a cure/prevention for autism being developed. If you're autistic and you've learned to deal with the world despite it, no one is saying you should be forced to take a cure and relearn life all over again, but it's fucking evil to treat autistics like a "race" that deserve preservation and force newborn children to be condemned to missing out on so much of life because of your ego.

I don't understand why writers here seem to act as if scp is exclusively a violent horror organization. Realistically, most scps should be docile objects with anomilous properties. Every damn time there is an scp that exist just to be shocking or scary, but it tends to become tiring when that cliche is ragged on. The one with the Russian chessboard is the gimmickiest and laziest attempt on an scp I've seen.
A lot of them are, actually.

There's also this: http://www.scp-wiki.net/log-of-anomalous-items

I like this stuff when it's done well, but it's a really difficult balance to maintain, and obviously a swarm of retarded teenagers is never going to be able to handle that.

That inexplicable tip of the lovecraftian iceberg, teasing at a whole new dimension of dooming and horrific truths below the surface, contrasted with a cold and unimpressed harshly objective scientific pessimism that grounds it in some realism.

Honestly there's only a handful that are "good", and past the first hundred or two it's an endless wasteland of garbage.
I can see why people are drawn to cool things, but what is it that really deludes them into thinking they're capable of contributing to it?
