They don't. There are very few people (relatively speaking) in Israel or the US belonging to groups that are aligned with either. They have no influence on what decisions are made by the vast majority of chareidim, because their exclusivism/extremism means that the normal communal leaders don't care about their opinions. Satmar tried for years to build up the Peleg into something real, but they gave up after realizing no litvaks outside of a few retards from Kiryat Sefer cared about the imagined "gezeiras giyus". The fact that they've each splintered into multiple groups that hate each other doesn't help matters.
