But then they'd have to study facial anatomy and learn the difference between a large, yet distinguished, nose and jamming a potato in the middle of a character's face. It's like do you want your male character's nose to have that Romanesque Al Pacino look or Idahoan Bill Cosby look?

What bothered me the most about the Gerudo Zelda and Link art is that they look black instead of Arabic. The Gerudo are based off of Arabic/Islamic cultures. African cultures like the Benin-Edo, Dogon, etc are nothing like that.
Not that these SJWs actually care about African culture unless it's African American culture.

Huh, weird. I don't remember Gerudo designs looking like racist asian stereotypes. I guess they only like it when the characters they WANT to be a different race are different instead of the ones that are already darker.

Of all series why Zelda? Ever since the jump to 3D the games have gone out of their way to represent each race that lives in any given incarnation of Hyrule. I think the only exception is that in Twilight Princess there weren't any Gerudo, but there were plenty of dark skinned humans and Hylians. Zelda always has a diverse cast that makes sense within it's context. Why the hell do they bastardize everyone?

Oh right. Because they're creatively bankrupt and try way to hard to justify and normalize their fetishes.

But representation is super important. It's so empowering to have a character that resembles you in media. And they have to be in a main role, they can't be secondary characters.

Essentially, all they're doing is self-inserting without the hassle of creating a new character for themselves. They've learned through all the progressiveness that, if the character doesn't have anything relating to your personal race, sexuality, or whatever you identify as, the character should be headcanoned that way. The unfortunate side effect of this is that, when they do bother to create their own characters, their whole identity relies on race, sexuality, and what they identify as. The very concept of a character standing alone as an actual character with flaws and a personality that's not cardboard is dying a slow, agonizing death.

I have to bet that many of these artists are people who are not part of the marginalized groups they’re so passionate about representing. It explains why a lot of the art doesn’t accurately represent these groups, to the point of being comedic in how inaccurate they are. That or they’re so deep into the SJW rabbit hole that they think inaccurate representation is actually just extra marginalization points.
Also, I would love to see some examples of these artists actually trying to write original characters. We could have an SJW Art Bingo to go with it, because I think an SJW Art drinking game would result in a few cases of alcohol poisoning.

Ganondorf wouldn't have to change since he's 9 times out of 10 the same dude. There's nothing outright stating "One Gerudo male every 100 years" means the previous one has to be dead but if we are swapping their races, you can bet on two things.

1. Link deemed "problematic" for being a muscle man noble prince with an endless harem of giant big titty amazons.
2. This thread getting a lot more posts of fujoshi going nuts over Link x Ganondorf fanart as those versions would check a lot of boxes for them.
