Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

Not SJW art, but hypocritical SJW artists in action.

And the outcry is insane.

You'll noticed usedsoil as the artist behind pieces such as these:

Yet a naughty word is just too far.

Furthermore, the artist has defended herself by saying that she's been so used to being called a retard that she was just reclaiming it. They won't even have that though.

Update: both the original post and the apology post have been taken down. No complaints yet.

Wow what a bunch of sensitive retards lmao

I find it amusing how CN makes "Don't Be Racist" cringe cartoons when I know for a fact that the people making these cartoons actively ostracize their black, Asian, Latino, etc. coworkers in the office.
And this is why I prefer @Chromeo ’s take on it because it didn’t do that
I like the forum style, and idk, a chat site like Discord wouldn't be so bad
im trying to make the best of it, plus it’s nice for art stuff if we ever wanna migrate the redrawing threads there.

Back on topic, I found a bad DR artist and I want to redraw all of the fankids. You might know them from the SHSL Horror Novelist and Comedian fankids

That first one actually looks okay, since it almost looks like a Fairly OddParents character. The rest... not so much. What's up with these weird ship choices? Did half of them re-marry? Plus, I'm not even going to ask about the three-way children.

The thing that gets me most is that this individual is 20. I genuinely thought she had to be closer to 14.

CN's problem overall is it doesn't know its audience. Its audience, it could be safely assumed, is children in America (where kids are gonna be watching TV and see the PSA.) Children most likely haven't seen racism along the lines of "black and white people can't get married," and if they can accept two boys getting married in the same short, there's no reason they can't accept race-mixing. Pick a lane. Then they insult the white members of their audience for being ignorant, which makes people want to not listen because their feelings are hurt. While catharsis for the oppressed people is one thing, you can't mix that with your actual activism. Those spaces need to be kept separate or you'll alienate potential allies.

The issue in the second PSA is fundamentally the same; No clear audience, anger directed at the audience, and literally at the audience because Pearl ends the short by glaring/yelling at the camera!!
1607355323327.png

Children aren't going to understand the phrase "systemic racism," and they're not going to really have a follow-up from this PSA because it's going to go right into the next cartoon. All they'll get from this is "Pearl's mad at me because of Thomas Edison," which fwiw I think people are starting to shift the credit to Nikola Tesla for a lot of shit Edison did anyway. So...ineffective! Not useful! Actively harmful!!

This mostly baffles me because the double bun look is one of those hairstyles so common and universal to all hair types that you can find a variation of it in pretty much every culture - some places like China have had young girls sporting the double bun look for thousands of years. It’s like trying to say that a single culture can lay claim to a standard ponytail so therefore anyone who uses it is committing the ultimate sin of cultural appropriation.

you think that's bad, dreads are far worse.

edit: there's evidence of it being in Europe for a long time

Some time ago, I stated I have seen exactly one good example of a racebent Princess Zelda. Well, I found it:

Would you look at that? An actually decent looking african princess, rather than the usual She-Troll art that painters insist is beautiful.
She's gorgeous! You could even make an allusion to the real-life queens of Ghanan tribes around the late 900s.

You can honestly tell the age and intelligence some of these idiots just by not knowing that the rest of the world exists and it's not like America....

Apparently alot of white people wear dreads in the northwest? Some of them look cool af....

Im gonna say..Thank you for explaining this <3
you are really informative and explain this really clear <3

The dread thing I can partially understand from a pragmatic perspective since, from what I understan, European and Scandinavian "dreads" aren’t quite the same as black dreads (the European variety are more like unbraided twists rather than matting) and trying to make them more like black dreads is a really quick way to damage your hair (although I’ve seen unkempt dreads on black people too and they seem to get equally nasty) but frankly I feel like what people do with their hair - long term damage or not - is their business. And at this point I’ve seen so man blacktivists treat any elaborate styling techniques, regardless of origin, like it‘s appropriation against themselves specifically that I’m of the mind that anyone who cares that much about hair has too much time on their hands.

It's because European hair is different to African hair:
Family+Science+Night+2.+Chemistry+of+Crime+–+Hair+Analysis.jpg

The flatness of African hair also means they're basically immune to lice because lice can't hold on to the strands because their stupid little lice-feet only work on circles, not ovals:

Why do those lice look like bosses from dark souls?
