The obvious answer is he doesn't have any formal education because he was expelled from college.

Perhaps it's explained elsewhere, but what was he taking at Carroll before he was expelled? My guess is IT or computer programming.

No, pickup instructions are not written permission to come back to a place that youve been banned from dude. The reality is that you can probably go back there so long as you dont act like a dick again.

It would be an attempt "to gild refined gold, to paint the lily" (Shakespeare, King John, hint: not one of his comedies) to add directly to Null's post, so indirectly: Institutions of higher learning share information. This is especially true in any subset of those in a given area: state-related schools, Catholic colleges and universities, historically Black ditto, whatever. I guarantee that if Skylar's fellow lolcow Andrew Dobson had a complete change of heart and decided to go back to school, the Rhode Island School of Design would have access to any disciplinary record he racked up at his Minnesota art school (although with time elapsed, I doubt the same registrar or dean of students is still working there).

If Skylar decides to cut his losses and sensibly get a similar degree elsewhere, three words come to mind: out of state. The next three are not near Mom. If by some miracle, some Catholic institution Skylar deems sufficiently Catholic somehow admits him despite all this hanging over him, it would be the smart thing to just keep his head down, take his classes in the order his advisor recommends, take them in a nice normal fashion, be utterly unremarkable except for grades, get diploma, GTFO.

Luckily for this site, people featured rarely do the smart thing.

In case anyone wants anything other than Reddit threads from Skylar, he play's a lot of Minecraft as well. Just look up Skylarmt, you'll find quite a bit as that's his main pseudonym as he's been using it since 2011 at the very least.

He's also done some work over at ED in the past on the Bantown article.

Back when I signed up for my A-levels I asked whether I should do computer science or computer programming (ended up doing both as I took an extra A-level).
The response was 'computer science is far more suited to someone of your ability', and that doesn't even say anything about my ability as the requirements for getting into Programming are Es and Ds in the prereq subjects.
Perfectly suited to our little master of computing here.

Nice 2002 HP Pentium 4 there Skylar. For someone who's supposed to be really good with computers, your wire management sucks. Also, using wood is a terrible idea for a server as it's going to absorb and keep the heat in one area and a server is one place you don't want heat.
