I can't stand Word, as the moment you move one image your entire document becomes a M.C. Escher piece. Not too fond of the LibreOffice writer either. So instead I use LaTeX.

I'll have one terminal open editing the .tex file, another terminal for converting the .tex file into pdf via pdflatex example.tex, and Evince displaying the pdf. Each save, and transformation to pdf, automatically updates the Evince view. The end result are professional looking documents which are easy to edit without becoming a mess.

All of the internal documentation I make for my team is written in LaTeX, and I've become so comfortable with it that I use it for pretty much anything I need to write.
Doom Emacs is great for tex editing, by default it updates the pdf preview after every save.

Before trying out Doom Emacs I used vim window splits along with a pdf and tex plugin which was nice but not as nice as this. Doom Emacs has made me want to explore Emacs itself more but I haven't had the time.

Note, LaTeX is literally 38 years old. Stuff released last year is absolute garbage compared to it.
It remains the standard for any (decent) academic publication out there too, and with good reason. Even wimps like me who resort to using LyX as a LaTeX frontend can still produce breathtakingly good-looking documents of all sizes, with working (and accurate) references, citations, bibliographies, the works.

What LaTeX can do with document layouts and processing is incredible compared to what the modern pretenders play at. WYSIWYG was a mistake. Bolting a GUI onto a typesetting engine like LaTeX for direct "WYSIWYG" use is a fool's errand, and doing it the other way around (GUI first, engine second) means reimplementing the engine and doing a shit job of it.

Found https://bloopbase.keybase.pub/ through this, which seems to be an archive for a bunch of shit, including the Farms.
It seems to be tranny operated, judging by the 'ACAB'.

Edit: I decided to check back on this site, and surprisingly, (as of 4/6/22) the Kiwifarms datadump has vanished.

Anyone have any good recommendations for Windows 11 start menu replacement

I don't know if it counts, but I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't adjust their Firefox userchrome.css
CustomCSSforFx is a revival of the Classic Theme Restorer extension with everything done via custom CSS since extensions have been neutered.

What's KF's take on VPNs? I'm suspicious of VPNs shilled by big companies, but at the same time I'm of the feeling that Null can't recommend any because he's probably looking for VPNs that will never, ever sell you out, even if you were running a huge CP mill. Since I'm not of those type and just want to torrent with peace of mind, what IS halfway decent?

Hey friend. You did a MATI some time ago in which you discussed re-imaging Google Pixel devices to have a more secure operating environment. Would you be able to reiterate some of that information for me? I can't find the episode and I don't remember everything you talked about.

If you have a Google Pixel, from what I've heard the best secure operating system for it is called Graphene.

If you don't have a Pixel or don't plan to get one, you could try Lineage OS instead, but word is it's less secure than Graphene because the Pixel has some extra security features. There might be better alternatives out there but I haven't looked into it that much. If you have an Apple phone you're SOL.

If you want to be completely private the best thing would be to not carry around a cell phone in the first place, or at least one that only takes calls and text and nothing else.

Out of curiosity, are any other models of phones able to be flashed? Can I buy a Samsung and do it to that or is there something unique about the Pixels that makes it preferable to do on them?

Basically any Android phone can be flashed and have a different operating system installed, but for Graphene specifically, it can only be installed on Google Pixel phones.

Correct me if I am wrong, but a lot of vendor phones makes it more of a pain to flash your phone right?

Oh yeah, if you get a phone from a cell service provider like AT&T or something they'll pre install it with a bunch of shit and make it harder to flash. You should get your device unlocked from someplace like Walmart or Best Buy.

It's "Unlocked" currently. Paid for it in full and switched to a much smaller provider. Still unsure if I can. Afraid I will brick my phone and have to fork out money for a new one due to whatever AT&T may still have on this thing.
