Don't buy this one it's shit, far worse than the original version
If you don't have a PS4 then I recommend adding Gravity Rush Remastered and 2 to that list
Today, I learned that Gravity Rush has a remastered version for the PS4, as well as a second one. Since I still have a PS4, I’d just like to say, “thank u, fren 👌

Bit off-topic, but some people honestly responded to questions like this one with this answer

Sony are counting on GTA been popular enough software wise to sell consoles. R* are hoping console demand is high enough to make it profitable to sell GTA6 on.
I can't wait for the fallout in the industry when R* blames MS and Sony for failing to sell enough consoles, which caused them to miss their sales targets, and they have to;
GTA 6 is projected to make $3 billion in its first YEAR, with an estimated $1 billion coming from preorders alone. Okay, that's a very tall order. Let's take into account how many PS5s are in the wild.

As of November of 2024, around 65.5 million PS5s have been sold, not shipped, worldwide. I'm assuming that's altogether since launch, not in one year. Let's assume GTA6 will be sold for $70 a pop. Let's assume half those PS5 owners buy GTA6 day one, that's $2,275,000,000 in sales. That's not even accounting for microtransactions after its online releases later down the road.

Could it reach that $3 billion in its first year? Possibly. It wouldn't surprise me if R* charges $100 for base price. The fact that Sony is relying on a third party IP to move consoles, while MS is transitioning into a service platform is concerning about the future of consoles as we know it.

Man, I'm "that" guy who still has never played a GTA game. So it boggles my mind to see this series be as mega-mainstream popular as it is.

What exactly is it's secret ingredient?

Says something that Nintendo, for all their stupid practices, is still the only one out of the three that keeps the focus of their consoles on their first-party experiences.

The ability to engage in random acts of violence in a sandbox is my understanding. Got bored with it quick, so I may also be missing the secret "sauce". But I would be really surprised if all those billions of players went beyond the first batch of missions before they went full murder hobo.

Back in the day it was unique as it was one of the first good open world sandboxes. GTA3 was mindblowing back in the 2000's. Now with every second game being open world, I couldn't give a shit about GTA.

I made a hypothetical list of games to get if I were to ever betray myself and buy a PS5 in this upside down economy:

- Black Myth: Wukong
- Stellar Blade
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Astro Bot
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth/Like a Dragon: Ishin!
- Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
- Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Lies Of P
- RoboCop: Rogue City
- Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
- Sifu

Is this list accurate, or am I missing any games?
Outside Astro Bot and Stellar Blade, they are all on PC right now, and those two will come at some point if that matters to you. But I would recommend Returnal.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster isn't bad and has some good QOL stuff, but overall OG Dead Rising I thought was better.

How many times does it have to be explained that a game selling for $70 doesnt put $70 into the pocket of the developer?
At the very minimum there's going to be a share of it going to retailers for the physical copies
They might be able to negotiate very low platform fees to not release on PC but I kind of doubt they'd pass on that much money for exclusivity when they're porting all their own exclusives to PC already for a few extra bucks

I'm trying to simplify how much money it would make, not accounting for other fees like retailers, advertising, etc.

It's a sandbox. That's really it. Dick around with whatever. People enjoy that. Yes there are competitors, but they're either incredibly janky as they bite off more than they can chew or they don't have *as* many things to do.

So, you've actually got it kind of backwards.

We actually have LESS open world racers now. The only racing genre that's grown is serious sims.

GT7 actually shed sweaties from GTS, mainly because it's such a dead end. It still has its share of them but it's far less than most games in my experience. FH, TCM and NFS have SERIOUS sweaty scenes, and I've been involved in the one for TCM more time than I'd like to think about. Lol.

Autism tier criticism is actually a plus for those games, especially forza. Forza has so many spergs that will melt down over the slightest thing that T10/PG are forced to react

For reference here, on GTS I was B/A in sport mode. This usually put me on the top 25%-30ish of players. In GT7? Being a low B put me in the top 10%. The skill dump is part of the ignorance of GT7. Saw alot of this hosting league, you'd have players join, talk big game about physics, irl strats, tires, tuning, and then be an actual fucking E tier track Hazard that would quit halfway thru

On a personal note, TDUSC is about the only game I'd put below GT7 atm. It simply manages to fuck up EVERYTHING

Playground Games did try to lower the sweatiness by removing the Ranked Mode from FH5, as FH4 had it for some reason. At least the top rewards for it was just a hat.

And I wonder why KT also implemented a Ranked Ladder for their races in TDUSC, when the population is so low, and the game is both platform and region-locked, meaning that players have to coordinate in order to even play Ranked races.

It will be interesting to see what the real figures are when Sony posts them.
