And people complain about the lack of puddles for days.

seriously, trailers will almost always be more impressive than gameplay, because they're designed to wow and catch you attention, and most are made separately instead of using the actual game engine, or using the engine tweaked a bit to get specific things to happen. why is anyone surprised? Its like the complaints about the 360 not using as many pixels as was promised back in the last console generation.

Idk I guess it's supposed to be related to the fact they realized mentioning GamerGate in 2018 as an epic story does not make you controversial but makes you look dumb
People are surprised because they realized that now.

Fake trailers are kind of the norm now though. They're not really lies, it's more like an exaggerated concept and I think (thought? hope?) that everyone knew that. I even hessitate to call them "fake trailers", it's more like a promo movie.
In fact I'm not even sure a lot of computers could easily render what's in that screenshot, it looks a little intense IMO. Even if it'd be easy for high-end machines, it's smarter to widen your market.
I keep trying to bring attention to Tendiegate (last friday my mommy gave me five tendies when I had enough GBP for six and she ignored me when I complained and shit myself) but nobody will listen to me, this world is so corrupt.

If a trailer for Jack & Jill can play to a score of In The Hall of the Mountain King but not actually have it in the movie, why can't a game trailer put in a few extra graphical features? It's not like it's lying about actual gameplay.

I'm a massive spiderman fan to the point of having spiderman sheets on my bed and dressing as him every year for Halloween and sometimes even just for fun in my daily life, and this is a fucking insult of a magnitude unseen by man for millennia!
