X-Men isn't doing multverse shit but time travel stuff. All of the Moira lives end with a reset of the timelines as did the Sins of Sinister future and it's largely treated as "save scumming".

Also, they've at least managed to create a new future for the X-Books beyond the usual Days of Future Past crap. Mutantkind is the big bad of the future, and have so utterly fucked up humanity that the machines/AI are now scrambling to use time travel to stop the bad future where mutantkind wins from happening. As Sins of Sinister confirms that mutants will burn the galaxy if they aren't stopped.

Adding to this is the Dominion shit and the implications that there is something outside time and space that is waiting to fuck everything up for everyone else and the bonus nightmare that it's not just one of the Sinisters out there outside time and space but also the Phalanx.

Nigga it's multiverse crap by another name. The whole thing has been possible futures resetting and then people acting like that's the future. It's like the shitty Age of Ultron Event, but Bendis isn't half assing it.

Every X-Men event basically is "FUTURE WHERE THING BAD BECAUSE MUTANTS OPPRESSED OR HUMANS RUIN WORLD FOR HECKIN' VALID MUTANTS". The Dominion shit is just Hickman shit that exists as a vague idea based on someone elses sci-fi concept.

I managed to dig up the biggest collection of Archie Comics from the ONE brave soul still seeding them (the H33t collection) and am wondering if there's a way to get the complete series including spinoffs before they gave into buggery. Specifically to seed a "fag free" torrent.

I've seen the theory on Twitter that the reaction to the recent issues of Spider Man is so bad that they're just killing her off just to distract from the Mary Jane controversy. I don't read Spider-Man but it sounds like it's turned into a real shitshow.

In other comics news, it seems IDW is having some serious issues. I've enjoyed some of the things they've published, but their books are generally more expensive the competition. Not sure if they're going to be able to hold on.

I don't know if they're making her a mutant in the comics, but they did in the show so
 
So I bought Supercrooks by Mark Millar. My fucking God it was awesome. I love Gladiator. Now I'm waiting for the end of the month to get the last of the Invincible omnibus and I'll start reading it all.

I've also bought Hellblazer by Ennis omnibus, so fuck me and my ever increasing "backlog" of comics.

1. Poor Peter Parker aside the recent life story and possibly the long since cancelled renew your vows he just cant catch a break. But hey give Dan and Joey boy some credit. They broke him and mj up because they wanted to recreate the wild college days of spiderman when he had a flavor of the month every week and they didn't insert themselves into the comic so they could bang Mary Jane thru the comics since they'll never get real pussy without paying for it. Looking at you fat bearded editor who turned himself into mjs new boyfriend.


2. Idw sucks. They used to be cool and kept a lot of awesome franchises alive but now? I think they had gay/gender special Transformers I. Their books long before the shows did. And they hired a sonic fanartist from Twitter to do the art for their sonic comics. That'd be like Archie for some ungodly reason hired Chris instead of Ken penders to do the art for their books.

Probably will, and with her show powers. Considering the movie is coming out in November, she'll probably have a brand new series debut with a new issue #1 in time for it.

And it won't fucking sell.
 
So why is Mary Jane fucking a FTM? I read that supposedly the guy she's cucking Peter with doesn't have a dick and the fat Jew who writes Spider-Man is one of those fags who tries to get the "FIRST GAY WEDDING IN A COMIC" and "FIRST MIDGET GETTING FUCKED IN A COMIC BOOK AS A SERIOUS ROMANTIC PAIRING".

They really could easily just write the whole thing as the demon fucking with Peter because the contract Peter or whoever signed is getting broken due to [PLOT]. Just make it a nightmare.

There's one panel, ONE PANEL, with the guy sitting on a bed looking dejected and saying "I should have told you".
Maybe he's impotent. Maybe he has AIDS and couldn't risk fucking in that post apocalyptic world of ruins devoid of condoms. Maybe it's something else.

But from that one panel, just from that and nothing else, people made the meme that he has no dick, and from there some retards took that he's FTM. What the fuck, man.

It's a bad enough comic on its own, there's no need for this shit.

apparently Maria vsstle is alive again...somehow and not only does she hate frank for what he's become. She divorced him took half his assesers from the punisher, sold them to charity and kept the rest and ph God look how they massacred my boy.


You know I'm amazed they didn't have Maria killed because she was a good loyal wife and mother of two, and in most incarnations was good at both roles. The woke writers would be all, "oh well if she didn't conform to such backwards heteronormitive thinking maybe she'd still be alive."


Being killed in a mob hit was probably the best thing to happen to Maria castle...I'd hate to see what modern writers would do to frank Jr and little Lisa castle.

If you read the whole story, it retcons it so Frank was a psycho all along, she was super unhappy in the marriage, and was gonna ask him for a divorce the day she and the kids died.

Because the point is ruining even the idea that he was at peace for a little while before becoming the Punisher.

Jeezum crow at least in the max universe towards the end of that series. It was implied frank knew deep down. He was a monster conditioned to hurt and kill people who do bad things and he asked for the divorce in the hopes it would spare Maria and the kids from whatever it was that he made the faustian deal with in Vietnam....if it was a real entity at least and not just a voice in his head.

The series where kingpin forced a computer nerd to create a fake kingpin for him prior to becoming kingpin himself under threat of sending the baddest toughest street niggas to go to said nerd's mother and break all her teeth then face fuck her. (Yes...seriously actual dialog from the comic) and got revenge on a guywho raped him in prison by breaking Into said guys house then sending a dozen of the filthiest bums and junkies to gangrape the guys wife and take pictures of it and send those pics to said prison inmate only to make sure it'd rile him up enough to find him so he could personally kill him...(again actually happens in the steve Dillon run of punisher max like..fucking he'll bro)



Had a better reason for making the castles get a divorce than what is not the in cannon reason Maria castle wanted to leave frank.

Fuck you marvel..but at least we'll always have the 90s..in my mind..until it dies and rots away to mush.
 
I asbolutely love the ALIENS series from Dark Horse, Based on the RIdley Scott 1979 Alien film, they build the world in which the titular monster comes from. Needless to say I'm a huge fan of the film and it's sequels.

I always saw Jason Aaron's run as a deconstruction on Garth Ennis' idea that despite always being a monster, Frank was also still a good family man until his family dying finally released the last thing holding him back. And it worked, because Garth had laid down the ground work by showing that in 'Nam, Frank was actually trying to keep the fighting going because he enjoyed it, and as a ten-year-old, he was going to kill a kid for raping the girl he had a crush on. I wasn't a fan of the idea that he may have intentionally let his family die just after telling his wife he was leaving, but aside from that, the third arc made a lot of sense.

The problem is that's the MAX version, which can get away with it. The 616 version was always softer. More heroic. Still a serial killer, but it was acceptable because he was going after criminals. That Frank could have been a family man. Trying to make him the monster version without any of the set up prior to it doesn't really work.
 
Indeed for years the punisher said "frank castle died with his family '' he still had the trauma of being a soldier in a war a system that was flawed but Maria and the kids were his rock in the storm that showed him there is hope for old wardogs like him to be happy. When they died that connection was gone and the justice system being the complete fuck up it is and the fact that frank considered himself "dead." By then is what drove him to be what he is. A monster who only stays better than others by going after other worse monsters.
 
Garth Ennis's Rogue Trooper run is pretty good so far. There is some cringe race politics which is expected for 2000AD but the art is really good and Ennis is standard Ennis. Ennis Rogue seems like a more interesting character than Ennis Punisher, hot take.
