Love that zero gameplay trailer. *chefs kiss*

Maybe I was misunderstanding because of the Sony deal, but I thought he was supposed to wear his Insomniac Spider-Man suit for this? Makes me wonder just how exclusive this is going to be...especially with that "Free to Playstation Owners" legalese.

They're probably going to sell that costume.

Considering I hate the Insomniac costume, I'd have been more willing to pay for a classic costume.

Of course, I also didn't buy Avengers so they shouldn't give a fuck what I would have done.

So in a fit of COVID induced boredom I'm giving this a second shot, and it might just be the vaccine talking but I'm enjoying myself a fair bit? I've slapped the difficulty down to Challenge 1 and have just treated everything as a Marvel themed brawler, rather than anything approaching an RPG.

The live service stuff is still pointless as all hell, but playing as Iron Man and Hulk is enjoyable. I suppose pretending this is a playable movie spin off, and it being free, has helped but still.

Curious, how is the Guardians of the Galaxy game? It's on sale for $38, so I'm feeling kinda tempted to get it soon.

I'm sorry why the fuck does Sean Chiplock sound eerily similar to Yuri? If he replaces him in everything I swear to god.........

Maybe a comic sperg can help me, but is there any functional difference between Inhuman and Mutate? I really don't see why the former is hyped up and treated so differently to the latter.

Rights issues was what caused Marvel to go hard on Inhumans. Fox owned the multimedia rights to IPs like X-Men, so the MCU couldn't use them or the Fantastic Four unless they struck a deal like they did with Sony for Spider-Man (Marvel went through financial woes in the 90s, so they licensed out some of their IPs to recoup losses). Now that Fox is consum-, part of Disney, expect the Inhumans to vanish into obscurity.

As for the differences between Inhumans and Mutants, I've no fucking idea.

In the simplest terms:

-Mutants are born with a genetic trait called the X-gene, that causes them to develop powers/abilities (usually around puberty)

-Inhumans got their powers from being exposed to the Terrigen Mists (there's a bit more to their backstory, but that's the basics of it)

So they're writing around trademarks rather than anything which makes then different from late blooming mutates? I just couldn't take the Inhuman fear seriously as there's already dangerous weirdos with sudden powers!

In brighter news, I thoroughly enjoy grabbing mooks as Hulk and using them as a club.

Sorry to double post, but they just dropped a big, ish, update. Not sure if Spiderman is here as I'm not on the PS.

A new raid involving Klaue being some sort of vibranium cloud of sound? Idk, comics.

You can now gamble Ingame currency on cosmetic lootboxes, and only Ingame currency. I suspect the original idea was being able to use real money, but given the exp booster fiasco...

Last one is a pretty substantial revamp of the gear and upgrade systems. They've stripped the currencies down to three, substantially increased the rate you earn crafting materials while increasing the cap, and you can now transfer old passives to

I'll be shocked if there's more characters after Spider-Man, the game's been hemorrhaging players since launch.
