I cannot deciper the level of meta you are on considering insulting Tellarites is complimentary to them.

Review of S01E02 of SNW incoming.... short version god fucking damnit where the fuck was this four years ago? I'm on the verge of accepting a retcon of Pike's fate if this keeps up.

I want your thoughts because if you're upset over 3 seconds of forced meme.... might wanna try a new franchise.

It's not the Jan 6 thing, It was the miscasting and charichterisation of the crew Chaple is wrong and in the ship about 10 years early, the use of a Khan on the bridge of the Enterprise, the retcons of the doctor from TOS and the look of the ship it's self.

It just doesnt feel like it will fit into the long established Cannon of the series, I will give E2 a fair shake.

OK Episode 2 has downloaded I will give a short pithy review after.
Episode 2 was better than the first and felt more like Star Trek than any other show Kikeman has produced. It had a black woman NOT be amazing at everything she does! She even got advice from a White man and he didn't die to punish him for his mansplaining!

Retcon? What Retcon? M'Benga is established as Bones' predecessor and a highly thought of one at that.

EDIT: Like, legit, there's a reason Kirk calls on him when Bones is unavailable. He's Bones' direct predecessor and thus knows a bunch of the crews medical history.

Anyone that complains about old trek, you can suck a fucking dick, you spoiled motherfucker.

You didnt know how good the franchise had back then. The best of modern trek doesnt hold a candle to the worst of old trek

I mean, actual good Trek recycled props and costumes all the time. They even did it in the movies, that's not really the issue. The issue is SNW is going to suck too because the people running Trek do not understand what made it so beloved in the first place.

SNW is nothing new, just the new stab against this franchise's integrity that has been going on since 2009.

Quick reminder, every star trek season has their first two episodes feel like a breath of fresh air, look back at RLM's review of this season of picard, they even said they were excited after the first two episodes.

its like judging a film after only 20% of the way through. A New Hope doesn't even introduce Luke until a quarter of the way in. Iron Man doesn't even have the iron man suit until roughly the same time. The Matrix is just introduced.

The new shitshow won't start to give the fans the finger until right about now. SNW will have Pike get couped by the non-whites because of his abortion stance in episode 3 and the rest of the episodes are about forcing all the whites to suffer especially Mr.kirk because fuck you.

Well, they took him out of Episode 2 painfully and quickly so that the strong black woman could save the day.

Wasn't Boyce the CMO of the Enterprise during Pike's run?
In 2254, yes. Current cannon is he's getting on a bit even then. Its 2259 in SNW, It's odd as I am sure I remember hearing from somewhere M'Benga was McCoys predecessor be it in a TOS episode or something, hence his presence but I can't actually find it written down.

There was a sizable contingent of fans who wanted to see Combs as Dr. Phil.

It is completely uncontroversial that Combs is one of the best actors in ST and deserved top billing.

Glad someone sees the damage Paramount has done to the brand, at least.
