Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

Bethesda lost any semblance of unified aesthetic when their main artist died after Skyrim. That's a why Fallout 4 and Starfield look like utter dogshit.
The one positive thing I can say about Starfield's visual style is the color palate is an improvement over Fallout 4's cotton candy pastel.

That game looked like Borderlands without the cel shading.

The visual inconsistency of this game has to be seen to be believed. You'll go on one space station that's gleaming Nasapunk and then the one next to it is retro low sci fi a la Aliens. Then you land on a nearby planet and it's a rustic wild west cowboy town or a steam punk world.

This was the original concept for the Freestar Collective's capital city, but midway through development the team started playing RDR2 and decided to throw in wooden saloons and cowboy hats even though it makes no sense. God forbid they have a unique design for an area

Do you go blind and not see what gigantic red flags Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 were?

It's been a long time since Oblivion dude.
I ignored those red flags like a retard. My own personal opinion about F4 is how shallow and filled with plotholes it was.

I thought I'd take a leap of faith on Bethesda and just ended up with a burned taste in my mouth of field shit. It was my stupidity and my fault at the end of the day. Within 6 hours I wanted to refund but couldn't... Due to how long, drawn-out the tutorial is.

Todd Howard is a fool for not putting Emil Pegpoopolu in a sped cubicle or firing him.

Even on the concept art it doesn't look like a capital city. It's way worse in the game because it's a bunch of shops (opened 24/7), mud hutts around The Rock and shitty prefabs and tents in the back. 20+ years after "the war" and they still live in shacks and tents?!
Was that ever confirmed or is that just a Patrician joke that's been accepted as true?
Never confirmed.

Also in the lore it's canon that the cowboy people that live in mud huts and use lever action rifles defeated the entirely of the United Colonies with their huge spaceship fleet and mech suits somehow.

The Starfield devs must have been big Rebel Moon fans because the same thing happens there and is equally retarded.

I initially thought it was inspired by Firefly.

I love that when they finally added usable city maps it was revealed that the spaceport was bigger than the rest of the town.

Na, the cowboys were the superior mech pilots, which is why the UC resorted to using alien creatures as shock troops.

God, that whole thing was just fucking terrible.

I like how cowboy Adam Jenson's daughter is a browncel despite both parents being white. I'll bet Biola thought that was super subtle and transgressive.
Heh. Well, that generally means he wasn't actually the father...

Ex-wife. He's not gay, just "player-sexual" like all the companions. Why anyone would romance them is beyond me.

Rate me late on this, but seeing this:
made me decide to reinstall and try Wabbajack for the first time. It turns out, however, that if you're smart enough to not fall for that Nexus Premium nonsense, Wabbajack makes you manually click the download link for the mods it brings up. It'll pull up a browser window, it'll pull up the mod's page, and even auto-navigate to the "files" tab and bring up the window asking how you want your download, slow or fast. But you have to click on the download link yourself. If you want it to also download the mods for you, you need to get Premium.

That shit doesn't make me want to get Premium, it makes me never want to use the program at all. On top of that, after all the trouble of making sure I had a fresh install and downloading/installing everything, the stupid thing crashed on startup and I wasn't able to figure out why. I think my PC was telling me to stop wasting my time and play something fun instead.

That's true, but I was already playing other stuff. If I want good Star Wars I can just replay KOTOR, anyways.

They tried to copy Firefly and forgot that even though the Independent planets were backwater, they still had assault rifles and tanks when they fought the Alliance.
