You’re right and anyone who gets autistic about that shit deserves to be mocked. I will say one thing though: if you like your steak well done, don’t throw your money away on more expensive cuts of meat. At that rate, basically any cut will do

I'd also have pepper jelly with my steak, drinking coffee and eating stake does not sound like it would pair, I'd add a tonic water to combo coffee with toast and steak with tonic water.
 
I can't understand rare. I like medium rare but rare or bleu just feels like a rock in your stomach.
Yeah, raw meat just sits in your gut like lead so if you're going to have anything raw you want mince on a cracker or some shavings of liver or a little European-looking fancy blue steak, not a thick honking American cut. It's probably an acquired taste too, I grew up taking hunter's trophies so anything past medium-rare just seems sad and tasteless to me.
