Stellar Blade / Project Eve Thread - aka Stellar Ass

The funniest part about Kaine being intersex to me is that Kaine being intersex is a defect. The real Kaine is a woman, but when her gestalt was made there was an error and she became intersex. Its not a magical wonderous inclusive thing. She's a freak, a mistake and doesn't fit in because she truly doesn't belong. But these faggots don't actually play the games they bitch about and just think she's some uplifting figure of inclusion and not the symbol of despair that the whims of fate made her.
I forgot about that plot point completely

It wasn't just Bayonetta is straight, she is in a straight relationship with a "cis gendered white male" and has a Daughter.
Lol I always liked Luka. Jeanne too. I don't mind that Bayo married and had a kid with him. The problem is that the entire game was rendered moot by the final act. There was so much potential (the different Bayonetta's etc) but the story, Viola's characterization, Jen's performance, and the way Jeanne got shit on yet again all bring it way down. Saving grace is that there's no Loki (voiced by that Azn fag). The idea of Moonlight Romance as the theme was.....eh. Not as good as Fly Me To The Moon or Moon River. Overall a disappointment.

As opposed to usual biology?
Yes, Gestalt are a product of Magic made on an assembly line for the super wealthy and the elite. The real Kaine is a woman who has a boyfriend. Unlike real life intersex people who are born into this world through no fault of anyone, the gestalt is a manufactured product, ethier negligence and or laziness made Kaine's gestalt the mess it is.

Also, considering the entire purpose of a gestalt is to save the human race, creating one without the ability to breed is a defect of the worst kind. But I guess I see your point about chance having something to do with ethier outcome. Its just rarely do I see intersex treated by special snowflakes as the random curse of fate it truly is, instead they embrace it like a super power instead of the tragic defect it is. And thats what it is in Nier, a tragic defect that results in the Gestalt being denied even its very little purpose in the world, not a power fantasy.

Not that I care about Nier lore that much but you're super wrong here.

Gestalts are actually the shades, human souls separated from their bodies as part of Project Gestalt to protect them from extinction. We never see hers, it's probably off being a trash mob somewhere.

Replicants are the cloned bodies they were intended to be put back into later. Kanye is one of these. They're specifically NOT meant to procreate, and by design cannot because the whole idea is to house the original person again--the androids who were created to run the show make them in a lab and drop the babies off like storks or something I guess. I don't believe we ever see an example of replicants doing the Jurassic Park thing and making babby.
And I dunno where you got the thing about them being for wealthy elites; as far as I remember the programme sounds like it was aimed at the general public. There's even a shade boss in Nier that's the result of some random old guy sending in his dog's DNA for his spot because he was ready to die. There's certainly no shortage of shades and most of the mementos they drop are regular people shit like schoolbags or employee handbooks.

(fyi for everyone else, gestalts are called shades by the replicants because they tend to lose their memories and act like confused monsters, and replicants don't know what they really are because replicants weren't meant to be sentient so nobody tells them shit)

Oh hey your right. That's what I get for not double checking stuff before posting. Its been a year or so since I played Nier and read some of the books. I must have some plot points fused together with some other game or show if I'm getting some of the most important terminology wrong.

Its rather poetic that in post where I shit on people for not understanding things I mess everything up lol.

Null talks about the "bounties" (or as Grummz prefer to put it, death threats) that were placed on Grummz by various leftists. Null mocks the idea that these bounties can be considered threatening in any way.
You need to come up with a reason why you will take Grummz seriously when we disbelieve Anita Sarkeesian for doing the exact same during GamerGate.

Anyone can claim death threats are being sent without proof and drum up attention for it. It doesn't mean those threats actually exist and you're a fool if you just believe it because some dude who tells you he is on your side says so

Ultimately, people will inevitably draw the line at the ideological differences which would be inherentlt contrary to objective determination.

E.g., "I believe Grummz because he's on my side."

Is Grummz pursuing litigation? Has anyone asked him for proof?

Also, Grummz repeatedly said "they" were threatening his life without specifying who "they" even are. Is he talking about Sony? Are the people threatening him associated with Sony in any way?

FYI, I noticed that this picture was getting passed around as confirming evidence that the "Ocean Maid" outfit was censored:

By comparing with the in-game viewer at the exact same angle, however, I can say without a doubt that THE ABOVE IMAGE IS A FAKE. The key is in recognizing that the string knot on the waist is missing a a hard shadow casted on the main body.

To demonstrate, I found somebody on Twitter presenting "Ocean Maid" with his own self-admitted photoshopping. Notice how shadows vanish on the doctored areas:

I still think it's more likely than not that "Ocean Maid" was censored in this manner at some point during development prior to 1.0, but there is still no hard evidence of this as far as I'm aware, and it's disservice to distribute with fake image with the implication that it's proof.

As another piece of soft evidence, though, it appears that "Ocean Maid" is at least a censored replication of a real (cheap) costume you can buy. An Amazon listing indicates that this has existed for at least a year:

It looks like the same goes for "Black Pearl", though I can't find a listing date on Chinese shopping sites to indicate how old the real costume is:

With the recent censorship craze going around for asian lewd games like this. I have a strong feeling that the Lolipop Chainsaw Remaster will get censorship for sure. At least for sure on Soystation 5. And Nexus Mods will probably take down any mod the removes said censorship. We will just have to wait and see.

There's also an (easily-missable) item that lets you unequip the skirt, or do the opposite and lock its damage state.

And yeah she does a little annoyed sidestep away from the camera. It's subtle but it's just a cute gag because the game ordinarily has camera movement that deliberately avoids upskirt angles, so you get a laugh out of it the first time you try taking a peek by positioning her on a ledge or something.
I just played Nier Automata for the first time ever last week and I noticed that the camera was kind of odd. I thought it was strange that whenever I tried to look around what was above me that 2B would sometimes shoo away for some reason. I thought I accidentally pressed something for her to move but it was just something funny that the devs put in. I havent beaten the game yet so I will try to blindly find that item that u are talking about.

You probably won't stumble onto it because it only has a coinflip chance of appearing in Emil's store, and then only if he spawns in his location near the Resistance Camp which has a 25% chance when the map loads, and is only available for the couple of chapters after he sends you an email about being bored.
Since talking to him is a hassle and he normally sells crap, and there's not really any hint that he randomly has different inventories, or that the email triggers a chance at a new inventory on one specific route he can take, most players probably never see it.

Were Grummz's death threats not the public bounties I mentioned? If we interpret these bounties as "death threats" then these are death threats done in the open (that's how blatant the people we are dealing with), to say nothing of the private ones. Do you think if the roles were reversed (gamers placing "bounties" on Alyssa Mercante, gamers going after the wife of YouTubers), she would be charitable and treat them as jokes? But for the sake of argument, let's assume these "death threats" are meant to be taken as jokes, not seriously. I would say that most Internet death threats are not to be taken seriously and everyone on both sides get them because people on the Internet are retarded.

The difference between Grummz and Anita is that Grummz appears to be on the side of truth and trying to shine light on the darkness. Anita Sarkeesian, like so many of her ilk (progressive leftists), is a known liar and liar by omission and has been from the very beginning (Women Tropes in Gaming etc). I would be more sympathetic to her if she didn't burn her social capital being a liar and a snake.

At this point, I'll give grummz the benefit of the doubt but if it eventually turns out that he is a grifter and his lies pile up, then I'll drop my support of him and his actions and not continue my support just because he is on "my side."

The main character of Lollipop Chainsaw is an attractive young blond Caucasian cheerleader. She is everything leftists, especially niggers, hate. At the very least, I expect her clothes to cover more of her skin, compared to the original.

'90s: games could get censored to be "family friendly" and localized to remove "too foreign" stuff

'00s: games were normally uncensored and accurately translated?

Current Year: games can be censored to be "politically correct" and localized to insert propaganda

Censorship of all kinds (violence, blood, nudity etc) has happened since the beginning and continues to now. But I think the main motivation of censorship has slowly changed from making things family friendly/making Japan understandable by Whitewashing its culture to the woke ideology.

In the Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis era, video games were kid's toys so the main motivation was the factors you said. Making things family friendly (censoring blood in various games, covering up partially nude women in Final Fantasy 6) and trying to avoid religious offense (censoring Christian symbols in Castlevania, removing the Muslim chants in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask). In addition to the above, there was the Whitewashing/Western-washing of Japan. Japanese games dominated the gaming market in the 16-bit era, and most of the PS1 and PS2-era until Western game devs started to make a come back around the PS2 era and took over the PS3-era. Japan was considered a strange and foreign country not understandable by the "Western audience" so Japanese culture in games were censored and replace whenever possible. Ones that come to mind include the Ranma 1/2 fighting game that had all characters and backgrounds completely replaced, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney taking place in California instead of Japan, replacing Japanese food items with Western foods in one of the Kirby games on SNES, and replacing Japanese names into English (Satoshi into Ash Ketchum in Pokemon). Eventually Japanese games and its culture (anime etc) became "cool" so censorship/localization via Whitewashing Japanese culture naturally became obsolete.

When it comes to translating/localizing the Japanese scripts, leftism/wokism wasn't as strong back then so the general intention was to translate the Japanese into English so that Westerners can understand the game. If the translation was bad, it was because the translator didn't have the time/resources/help to do a good job, because the translator didn't care about doing a good job, or because the translator had an ego and wanted to "make their mark" (eg Working Designs and inserting outdated pop culture where there was none). Regardless of the quality of the translations, the important takeaway here is the lack of maliciousness.

I think what changed was that the PS3/Xbox 360-era made gaming mainstream (Call of Duty, The Last of Us, etc) and it was around this point that the gaming market became bigger than the film/Hollywood market. The wokes are parasites and they found a new host to latch on.

A new type of censorship has been born: censorship to advance the woke ideology. A few examples of types of censorship that didn't really occur in the past:

1) The removal of femininity/female gender roles and promoting masculine (eg girlboss) qualities in female video game characters. This is the big one. In Japanese games, there are a wide variety of female characters and personalities. Some of these female characters have "feminine" qualities (caring, nurturing, seeking to please or to provide services to or seeking approval from a male, acting in a "ladylike" manner). These things, which exist in the original Japanese script, are removed and their personalities are replaced with assertiveness, aggressiveness and "strong and independentness." See the Chrono Cross and Baten Kaitos Remaster.

2) Depromoting the "European" beauty standard. Japan and most Asian countries for various reason favor lighter skin which is not to be confused with favoring White people. Regardless, leftists favor Black and Brown people and think this beauty standard is "wrong" so any references to this must be removed.

3) A biological male character who has a feminine appearance and has "feminine" interests but still considers himself a male, is fast-tracked into being a "trans-woman" by leftist translators. See Guilty Gear Strive.

Do you think if the roles were reversed (gamers placing "bounties" on Alyssa Mercante, gamers going after the wife of YouTubers), she would be charitable and treat them as jokes?
It doesn't matter. If you're being threatened online, you either ought to do something about it or shut up.

The difference between Grummz and Anita is that Grummz appears to be on the side of truth and trying to shine light on the darkness.
Oh, how noble! Hopefully a judge thinks so too.
Except there's still zero litigation being pursued by either side.
So, is the threat serious or not?

I would be more sympathetic to her if she didn't burn her social capital being a liar and a snake.
And why hasn't Mark Kern's who Firefall fiasco done the same?

the Chrono Cross and Baten Kaitos Remaster
So they messed with the localization of the Chrono Cross remaster?

Anyway, there still was that period after "family friendly" censoring and before "woke" censoring where there was less censorship and less "whitewashing", I think. Will the Current Year "woke" censorship, war on straight male sexuality, and delusion of "empowered means masculine girlboss" ever end? Hopefully "the pendulum" can even swing back.

And back on topic, how censored is the English version of Stellar Blade?

I also posted this in the MATI thread but if you're interested in Stellar Blade and Null:

Null's Stellar Blade MATI segment summary.
Having just listened to this MATI episode (April 30th), I'd like to point out that Null speaks even further about Stellar Blade in the superchats section, responding to multiple comments on the matter. It starts right after the Rekieta ceiling cat video clip with a rant making Null sound even more angry, contemptuous, and confused over why people care about the censorship at all, let alone aren't receptive to his confrontational, untested "only my way" advice on the matter he insists he doesn't care about. Later on, when confronted by a couple of additional comments pointing out the existence of real high-cut leotards and the infamous game No Man's Sky previously having been cleared on accusations of false advertising (not actually a lawsuit as claimed, but rather an investigation by the UK's Advertising Standards Authority), Null reacts with short, subdued remarks about not being familiar with those cases.

Additionally, in correction to your summary, Null technically is not saying that the Stellar Blade censorship isn't censorship, but rather that it's "not censorship in the category [he] particularly care(s) about."

Something else not mentioned by you but irks me personally is Null's repeated insistence that mods can deal with the issue, ignoring the point that the game is locked down on the PS5 and might never get ported to PC, never mind a theoretical delayed release.

I hope there's a way to sell extra upgrade materials in a future patch. I upgraded both the drone and gear slots to max and sitting on so many modules. It's insane how easily you become OP

Have you checked out Dig-g2r's area? If you're in new game+ you're supposed to be able to sell extra stuff like that to a new vendor. It might just be omni-bolts though.
