Or maybe, and I know this is a controversial position, people should keep their sex shit in private where it belongs instead of engaging in pseudo-exhibitionism?

The launch of Stellar Blade in Japan has been met with overwhelming demand, leading to shortages in several major retailers. Despite the lack of an official statement from Sony and game developer Shift Up regarding the game’s initial sales numbers, indications point to an extraordinarily successful release within the region.
So, a megahit despite all the sturm and drang. Congratulations to ShiftUp and Stellar Blade.Dr Toto cited that such overwhelming demand was uncommon for blockbuster titles, except for those with an extremely high anticipation like a new mainline Pokemon release. He noted that so-called “sell-outs” are more often associated with games that receive a lower stock due to their niche appeal.
With Stellar Blade being one of the highest-rated titles on the PS5 according to user scores, and given the significant advance hype it received from Sony, the sales situation in Japan suggests a genuine consumer enthusiasm rather than a simple matter of inadequate supply.
I'm actually surprised tbhExceptional Demand for Stellar Blade Ignites Sales Frenzy in Japan

It helps that:
1) The Yoko Taro (Nier Automata) and Hyung Tae Kim (Stellar Blade) complimented each other's games.
2) They stuck to their creative vision while also considering their paying audience (gamers) rather than non-paying audience (activists).
What are the "game journalists" in Japan saying about it?
In Famitsu magazine, a game review’s final score is actually two to four total scores assigned by a collection of reviewers. Technically, there’s no such thing as a 40/40 score, but four 10/10’s. So, a score of 35 would be quite impressive! Famitsu has a history of being considered one of the harshest critics in the business, rarely giving higher than 36/40. Getting a perfect score from Famitsu was truly something to brag about in the past12. If a game receives a 35 out of 40, it’s a strong indication of its quality and merits.
I'm really happy for the game success, it's been a long time since there was a new release that managed to suck me into a world and stuck the landing that well.Exceptional Demand for Stellar Blade Ignites Sales Frenzy in Japan

I liked this game a lot! I was never into Nier. I don't understand why people didn't raise this much outrage at character design for 2B (and the upskirt thing). Poor Eve just can't win. Anyway it was very fun. I like how, if you leave the game idle while she faces you, she will follow you if you move the camera. (Think Rouge in Sonic Heroes but better)
The funny thing is that I dare all the character design outrage mobs to try the og Ghost in the Shell manga and come back to me.
There was something about the game atmosphere and music that just felt good. Sad at times but good.
The Bayonetta one was great because they even hated the ad campaign for the game pre-release.It's a long time ago but I'm pretty sure the progressive crowd hated both 2B/Nier Automata and Bayonetta right up until the point where those games became too popular to hate so they co-opted them instead like saying Bayonetta is a lesbian/LGBTQ+ icon. Until in Bayonetta 3, Bayonetta was confirmed to be in a straight relationship or she had straight sexual interests (I haven't played the game) so then they went back to hating her again.
The Nier thing was mainly Nier Automata (the first game was obscure to all but the biggest JRPG nerds).I was never into Nier. I don't understand why people didn't raise this much outrage at character design for 2B (and the upskirt thing).
The upskirt thing was silly. 2B swats the skirt when the game thinks the player is trying to look up it and iirc the achievement is for when the player manages to get a look and the game doesn't catch them trying. Meanwhile, you can make her self destruct and blow the skirt off entirely, exposing the leotard.Having never played it, but I think the upskirt thing was an achievement you got by trying to angle the camera low to look up her skirt. There was an episode of GiantBomb (I think it was one of their GOTY discussions) where Abby gives the prog line that the game forces you to look up her skirt. She gets shut down immediately.
There's also an (easily-missable) item that lets you unequip the skirt, or do the opposite and lock its damage state. The upskirt thing was silly. 2B swats the skirt when the game thinks the player is trying to look up it and iirc the achievement is for when the player manages to get a look and the game doesn't catch them trying. It wasn't just Bayonetta is straight, she is in a straight relationship with a "cis gendered white male" and has a Daughter. It's a long time ago but I'm pretty sure the progressive crowd hated both 2B/Nier Automata and Bayonetta right up until the point where those games became too popular to hate so they co-opted them instead like saying Bayonetta is a lesbian/LGBTQ+ icon. Good for nothing parasites is what the game journalist activists are. If Stellar Blade keeps up the momentum then I expect them to enter the "I've always liked Stellar Blade!" phase.
Tits and ass.
Stellar Blade and Nier Automata shares some composers.
I remember wokoids also sperging out since the NieR Replicant remaster/defiinitive edition because when you get to play as Kaine you can get an achievement by looking up at Kaines ass/junk through her clothing, which already quite skimpy. Doing so will piss her off, and eventually she'll curb stomp the camera if you keep doing it, which results in a game over and am achievement. It's not only a reference to similar achievement on NieR Automata but also totally in character for Kaine. Since Kaine is canonically intersex the wokoids saw it as sexualizing a queer body. Luckily Taro refused to back down again because he's a Chad and won't take shit from anyoneThey tried to bash Nier: Automata but Yoko Taro absolutely refused to bend the knee to them. And than blown them the fuck out when he politely asked the internet for Nier: Automata lewds in zip files and the internet delivered.
Same for Bayonetta as Platinum Games refused to bend the knee to them. Then the artist who done the character designs for Bayonetta was reveal to be a woman and she politely told the internet Bayonetta is not a submissive but is a dommy when the internet does lewds of her.
Stellar Blade is catching shit precisely because ShiftUp did bend the knee by censoring the game and had previously done so with Nikke. Cause they know ShiftUp doesn't have a spine and will kow-tow to them.
The funniest part about Kaine being intersex to me is that Kaine being intersex is a defect. The real Kaine is a woman, but when her gestalt was made there was an error and she became intersex. Its not a magical wonderous inclusive thing. She's a freak, a mistake and doesn't fit in because she truly doesn't belong. But these faggots don't actually play the games they bitch about and just think she's some uplifting figure of inclusion and not the symbol of despair that the whims of fate made her.I remember wokoids also sperging out since the NieR Replicant remaster/defiinitive edition because when you get to play as Kaine you can get an achievement by looking up at Kaines ass/junk through her clothing, which already quite skimpy.
