Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

I like Charlene Yi's Ruby(s) and I love how she gets an episode when she just is like "I'm gonna take some Ruby time and by a cowboy." Ruby can play the guitar. Who knew? She's smarter than she thought.

Hiya guys, heres the new episode, full episode and the splits. I predict lots of gay cowboy schennanigans

I don't really follow this show, but just seeing the first few minutes of the first episode you posted, the bald dude has a point... if the tiny red chick doesn't want to be in a lesbian relationship with the tiny blue chick, that really isn't anyone else's call but hers... The retarded kid with the black hair really shouldn't be saying that they need to get back together because "they're his favorite couple".

Edit: Guess they're codependent. That really wouldn't be very healthy in real life...

Ruby and Sapphire's codependency is one of the many flaws the two have. Their entire relationship is reflected through their fusion, Garnet, who is a combination of both their greatest strengths. Only problem is they refuse to be apart 95% of the time.

Their engagement now is a good opportunity for them to be together without the obligation of fusing together. Fusion in Steven Universe forces its users to forego their individual identity, and this marriage is a way for the show to flesh out Ruby and Sapphire while giving them a healthier relationship.

I do think that the implication is that they’ll still be Garnet, but they’ll also take time to just be themselves too.

Which I’m completely cool with.

I’m also glad I can find a place to actually talk about the show without dealing with it’s shitty fan base part.

I'm the only one who expects Jasper? I mean her whole motivation was that Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond

Well, im not entirely sure what you mean, but a Jasper redemption arc isn't far off from a reality.

For one thing, like you said, her entire motivation was to get back at Rose Quartz for shattering Pink Diamond, which is awkward considering the two are the same being. It's also a great chance to explore corruption and how it affects gems, seeing as she's a corrupted beast now. I dont expect it to be addressed any time soon, but its definitely going to happen.

But Bismuth being part of the group first makes a lot more sense. She doesnt hold a grudge against any of the crystal gems, and Steven knows the whole story to tell her the truth to move forward.

And honestly Uzo Aduba is too good a voice actor not to bring back. It was a good twist and it'll be fun to see how Bismuth handles the Diamonds when they crash the wedding.

I'm refering more to the afternath of when the Diamonds show up, maybe on next episodes. To be honest, I like more Jasper, Peridot and Bismuth thab the main trio of gems

If Sardonyx's room can't exist when Garnet and Pearl unfuse, why could Stephen go into Garnet's room when Sapphire and Ruby were apart?

The Burning Room isn't Garnet's room. Even if its open using her gemstones, its technically part of the general temple itself.
